They all know what is in the wind, hence the rhetoric in last couple days.

Tebas demanding a salary cap, Solskjaer admitting they don't have the cash to splurge like other clubs this summer.

Pundits bemoaning the lack of quality in the league and City making a mockery of it.

It's all pre-emptive to rachet the narrative that if we sign Messi and Haaland this summer, not only is it morally unacceptable during a pandemic, it will take us to a different planet.

It's done to smear what they have long dismissed as a possibility.

Manchester City FC being the dominant team in England and Europe for the rest of this decade.

It's fucking delicious. Taste the salty tears, collect them up with all the trophies we amass.

They thought this was as bad as it could get with City.

They tried to bury us but Pep and Khaldoon ensured the seeds were always going to bloom.

A new footballing Spring.

There was a discussion in the sky studios with carragher and the tone was city need the champions league to be a great team. Has anyone else noticed whenever the league looks wrapped up it is almost dismissed and they turn their focus to the champions league as a stick to hit us with? It happens so many times.

I remember in 2014 Neville and Carragher thought you had to win by a mile, leading from start to finish to be a big side. Then in 2018 they decided you needed to win back to back titles to be a great side.

If we win the CL they will find something new we haven't won or decide European football is at a low ebb so it doesn't count etc.

Well here’s hoping we do max out our credit card so to speak and boil that piss until it breaks the kettle

MKD didn't try to steal Wimbledon's history. The club moved to Milton Keynes and changed names. Once established they wanted nothing to do with their former location and were happy to hand back the history.
Follow the fans and AFCW are the descendants of Wimbledon FC, but follow the players, backroom staff and place in the Football League and MKD are the true descendants. - This is not a nice thing to admit, but it happens to be true. - The EFL should have been fucked over for allowing the move and the owners should have been hammered for engineering a position where a move out of London was inevitable.
Surely the club moving to MK was engineered from the outside? WFC did not decide to move there until the league rubber stamped outsiders proposal.

Love this mr hairdoo. I especially like “They thought this was as bad as it could get with City.” And “A new footballing Spring.”

Now, IF we can sign Haaland and Messi, despite my personal feelings on the latter, just try and imagine the fear, the loathing, and the sense of utter dejection in the boardrooms of Old TRafford, Anfield, Madrid, and Munich.

That would be City set fair for the next few years at a time when the rest of the old money elite are forced to tighten belts.

Couple the above with increased commercial revenue from being champions and having the most famous footballer in the world on our books and it isn’t without foundation to believe that by 2030 MCFC may very well be the richest, the most powerful, and the most successful football club in the history of the world.
If so, by 2030 united fans harking back to the success of the 90s and early 00s Would be the equivalent of Preston fans reminiscing with dewy eyes about the glory days of the 50s. Or put more simply, they would be even more of an irrelevance than they are today.

The future is coming at a rate of knots and it seems that only City are prepared for it. Only City have been preparing for it and more than any other only City will truly benefit from it.

The next 10 years could well make the last 10 years look like a relegation battle.

Glorious.
