England have been superb defensively. Although it has to be said that Italy are completely toothless up front, they’ve got nothing.

But we aren’t playing well with the ball whatsoever. We are losing the ball too easily in midfield, the forwards are running down blind alleys, and we are inviting them on too much.

If we carry on doing that we are going to allow them to eventually do something despite their forwards being pretty shit.

It's a good job there is a decent back four/five because Pickford worries the hell out of me, how he's an international goalkeeper I'll never know, a good shot shopper at best.

Stones and Maguire have no outlet to move the ball forward and have to be careful, Rice and Phillips offer nothing for distribution.
