Oh good, that probably means the impact will be negligible.
In my opinion, this man has done so much damage the reputation of science. Others will have a different opinion, but hey each to their own.
He certainly has. Mind you, so have scientists by trying to convince people that there is such a thing as ‘the science’. Science is data and challenge driven and is rarely ‘decided‘ but we’ve not only been led to believe that there is a known final truth about Covid but that any challenge to that truth is heresy.
I think scientists will have a tough job of regaining the public’s confidence in the future, and that’s a great pity, given the charlatans in power and those hoping to take over from those in power.

Hadn't checked this out in ages. Thought I'd look today whilst the figures are high. Not sure what, if anything, to take from it.

6400 cases in Scotland today

360 of them in people aged over 65
1,140 of them in people aged 45-64
1,669 of them in people aged 25-44
3,215 of them in people aged 0-24

I'll break the eldest and youngest category down a bit further

45 in people aged 85+
108 in people aged 75-84
207 in people aged 65-74

And the youngest

1718 in people aged 0-14
1497 in people aged 15-24

***************

17 deaths

6 aged 85+
2 aged 75-84
5 aged 65-74
2 aged 45-64
1 aged 25-44
1 aged 20-24

So as we can see although the over 65s are making up an extreme minority of cases, that age group has represented 13 of today's 17 deaths.

****************

Vaccinations

2700 first doses
8000 second doses

Prof Neil Ferguson on the return to school in England starting this week:

"We expect to see quite a significant surge in cases, to some extent in hospitalisations, but whether that's going to require any rolling back of the relaxation of restrictions is too early to say. It really depends on the level of healthcare demand.”
Based on what?
Doesn't this just guess work just = guess work?

What an unbelievable pile of absolute fucking shite. You just don't want to hear certain things. The overwhelming majority of people trust the science.

The science is myth. Ask 10 different scie tests what will happen and you'll get 10 different answers.

"The science" can loosely be translated as "the scientist I think is right"

No, its not, and it cant ( well shouldn't be ). when its not a set mathamatical provable theory it then moves into being based on Scientific consensus. This is where the majority of scientists in there specialist field say 1 theory has more merit than others, Generally it seems that 2/3rds is considered a decent supermajority for scientific consensus.

this system is there to prevent either mistakes or corrupt views from becoming the "real" view.

unfortunately as has been proven by climate change debates, where the super majority is at 97%, the remaining 3% are picked up far too often as an equal view which they are not, The media are guilty of giving the same screen time to those 3% resulting in the general public getting a totally unhinged view of things.

All in all, When it comes to science. look for at the majority. when the Majority shift view based on data you know real things are happening and not just some one out for cash making waves.

When is the Saj going to make an appearance and inform us of the booster vaccination plan and also jabs for young people?
Vaccination program seems to be in a bit of a rut.
Even the Sun are reporting we've dropped from 2nd to 19th in the league table of % of people who have received a jab.
