Feeling more confident now with those pictures.

We need to find a way of getting KDB, Foden & Grealish all firing together.

I'd be looking at playing deeper in this one and teasing Chelsea to come out a bit rather than us playing umbrella football around their penalty area with them waiting for a misplaced pass from us to hit us on the break....they're at home onus on them.

Let's see what they've got bollocks wise to take the game to us. If they shit out a draw will do fine in our hardest away game of the season what with our injuries/players just back with match fitness issues.
Totally agreed.
Time and again we've been playing too open vs Chelsea, dippers, rags, spurs and were caught on the break giving away a cheap goal after making a stupid mistake. I hate so much giving it away on a silver plate.

I think we'll lose again if we don't defend with the full team in quick transition, with passion. Midfield is key in those matches and I hope Pep finds a setup to play AGAINST Tuchel's game for a change.

AH, and I wished we could be more physical and dirty instead of being on the receiving end as usual. Tuchel is a bastard and it's about time he gets one back.

A draw would be fine, but I expect Chelsea to win as best-est team in Europe and already declared new PL title winner.

My team, with best guesses on who looks like might be fit….

Eddie

Kyle
Ruben
Laporte
Cancelo

Rodders
Kev
Bernie

Grealish
Phil
Jesus

No idea who out of front 5 will play where but I reckon that’s best guess who will start.
Think that’s probably the team I’d go with too, assuming Gundogan isn’t available.

I just meant that City wouldn’t have posted those pictures in the way they did, getting fans’ hopes up, if they weren’t in consideration for Saturday imo. I doubt match fitness will be an issue for Laporte or Rodri, in particular. They’ve only missed a few games. Doubt Stones would start regardless but can see him being on the bench.
I don't think City's media team discuss the team selection with pep first. You're reading too much into it.

They may well be in the squad because we're short but their appearance on mancity.com just means their fit and training and nothing else and match fitness is definitely a legitimate concern. Perhaps less so with laporte.

Not an easy call. Laporte is a bit sluggish but the best passer. Ake is good in the air. Stones would be the best bet but has the most question marks against his fitness.

Presuming Stones.Laporte.Zinchenko and Gundo are unavailable , i would go with

EDERSON
WALKER , DIAS , AKE , CANCELO
RODRI
MAHREZ , BERNARDO , KDB , FODEN , GREALISH
STERLING or TORRES

If Gundo is fit then he replaces Sterling/Torres and we play the false nine , we need to play long balls in the channels over their ageing and slow back five , the only player they have with genuine pace is that dirty f*cker Rudiger.
We win this and all the shite the media will be coming out with about our impending demise will be well a truly rammed down their throats.
Three defeats to these bunch of chancers is enough.

Don’t think we’ll get away with picking 12 players mate ;)

Lighten up Marv. Players who had seemingly been ruled out are back in first team training and for some that’s a cause for optimism ahead of an extremely tough week.
