Samir Nasri

When we beat Everton 2-3 in 2014 you could see what it meant to him when he came over to the fans at the end, he was the most excited of any of the players but seemed very focused on winning the next two as he was telling everyone.

God do I remember that match! I was going through agonies for the last ten minutes or so. And how good was Edin?

Watch back the highlights from many of the games in 2013-14. That triangle is just playing round the opposition midfield, manoeuvring it at will. Feeding Sergio, feeding the Beast. Palace away is a case in point, but there are many others.
I think to this day that some of the football played that season is up there with the best that's ever been played at this club. Fit to be compared with the Centurions season. The games against Spurs and Norwich: we just obliterated them. Arsenal thought they were seriously challenging for the title (remember all those chirpy posts from Gooner2?) until they came to the Etihad.
They did it in the middle or near the touch line or anywhere and just made the opposition player look like they are part of rondo.

Blowed a bit hot and cold, but was very capable on his day, remember a cracking goal away to roma in the cl when we had no striker, that one in the lc final and the first against west ham in 2014 last game, a very welcome contribution overall.

Loved watching any of his goals for us and even more so when the commentary was in Arabic; always sounded as if the guy was about to pass out in euphoria.

top class player who I think gave 100% for us. the smile on his face when we won the league in 2012 is probably my fondest memory of him. should always be welcome back at City.
100% ? He was a coward when it mattered , he nearly cost us the qpr game with not keeping the ball in , he had given up, not to mention the wall debacle , not one to be in the trenches with , not often i dislike a player but he was one of them. On the other hand when he wanted to he played well and him , yaya and dave were quite the threesome

Thanks Samir. Some spectacular and important goals scored for us.

Whilst we’re airing our gripes (many saying he blew hot and cold), my only complaint was him being on a long list players who hid when he went back to his old club. Hope Grealish bags a hat trick at the end of November (think that’s the Villa away fixture).

Never got the hate for him as a person.

Always came across as a decent guy, bright and intelligent.

Enjoyed watching him, great talent if inconsistent.
I thought the same. Lost his way a bit but always enjoyed watching him play. Some stunning moments and that strike against Sunderland must have been one of the finest goals scored at Wembley.
