Spurs v Arsenal Postponed

Do arsenal really only have one covid case?

Yes.

So they apparently don’t have 13 first team players and a goalie!

The German league it’s 6 first team players!

Why the premier came up with 13 and a goalie no idea? Should of been at least 11..

Were there any standing rules re player availability pre covid? Or did you just have to keep dipping into the reserves and youth until you got an xi? I have a feeling something did exist but can't be sure

I'm guessing Arsenal will have justified it that previous covid put extra pressure on players and therefore it was covid, indirectly, that caused this shortfall and therefore they still qualify for postponement

It's silly, get the game on

Should forefit the match

they were crying over Liverpool the other week

And Liverpool got the match postponed to their benefit.

It's not like we've not been negatively impacted, we were without a lot of players first couple of games of the season, had our Wolves game & Liverpool game postponed because the other team requested it, & were dumped out the FA Cup largely because we had to play a really inexperienced midfield.

Arteta asked for more clarity last month and many were calling him a cry arse, we watched Leicester get games called off last week with AFCON as part of their reason so it would almost be neglectful of Arsenal not to try the same if it was to their advantage and not outwith the rules.

Blame the Premier League for allowing the loophole in the first place. As far as Im aware, Cedric, Chambers, Tierney, Kolasinac, Tomiyasu, Xhaka, Partey, Elneny, Odegaard, Saka, Pepe, Smith-Rowe, Aubameyang and whoever tested positive yesterday were all missing the game today.

By the way nobody gave a shit when we lost toure every year for six weeks and had injuries at the same time , one covid case and the rest is counted to call games off , what were the prem thinking doing tnis
That is true, our performance levels and results used to drop significantly when that happened and it was only when Yaya and Kolo returned (and they would always go far in that tournament) did we commence our strong run-ins.

Completely agree, the question is how do you reconstruct the rules in a way that is fair and subject to exploitation?
