Southampton (A) - Post Match Thread

Fucking ridiculous statement that you would never ever make about Foden or Grealish if they'd missed that chance.

Our dogshit defending for their goal cost us the points.

sorry i don't see what you could do to stop their goal ? ok foden maybe could be more switch on but the strike no keeper save it ? lets have it right please that miss by sterling was shocking and the game changes with that

Disappointing result, but certainly not the end of the world. First half we were far too passive, but second half was better and we completely dominated the game. Southampton to their credit defended really well. Palace is no gimme tomorrow for the Scousers and we are still in the driving seat.

Doesn't matter in the slightest, no draw or loss here on in Does. Leage was done 3 weeks ago, we declared ourselves champions, because we are billy big balls bigtimers, so all this is just for the small time chumps and means nothing, the remaining 17 games are irrelevant.

The league is over. You can’t shit yourself because we didn’t win 26 in a row to see out the season.

After 6 seasons people should know better than constantly questioning this side and the manager and their ability to win.

Horrible first half, looked tired, not sure why.
I'll take the point though
When Sterling is off his game it kills us.

Everything going through him breaks down, Shit sloppy balls that start counter attacks.

His inability to do simple things like trap a Ball ,control it, pass

We are like a well oiled Machine with a Gear that keeps breaking the Machine down.

He wasn't having a great game ,missed that open Goal, then reverted to safe simple 5 yard passes back to team mates, and finding positions he could make himself unavailable for the Ball in.

Fair play to Pep, he saw what was going on, and changed early, we deserved the win after that.

Sterling, foden, Grealish does not work, Sterling sloppy for their goal but foden never even attempted to close his man or track him, we mullered them til VAR rest breaks gave them back some legs, last 15 was a non event.
Grealish is a concern as he looks way of being a game changer.

Weirdest bit with the var on the red card was he looked at the perfect angle where it looked stonewall red, then searched for other angles where it was harder to see as if trying to have a reason to not give red. Why he didn’t send ref to monitor was wholly bizarre, or just bent.

Seems to have stood still a bit this season.

He’s also got into a bad habit of shutting his eyes and moving his head (and therefore shoulders and upper back) away from where it should be when passing, crossing and shooting.

Feels like he needs to work harder at his technique with the last thing he does.
He’s been relatively poor for two games, before his injury and getting dropped for acting daft he was brilliant.
