It won't necessarily weaken our chances either as Both Gundog and Zinchenko are more than capable if called upon.
Are they more capable than Kevin or Cancelo ?
If the answer is no ,then it weakens our chances.
And if you believe the answer,is anything ,other than no, we will have to agree to disagree.

Posted earlier in the thread:

It's the UEFA press sheet for bookings, says Cancelo and De Bruyne will miss the next game if booked.

The yellows reset at the Semi-Finals like you said, however, Cancelo and De Bruyne still run the risk of suspension for the 1st leg of the Semi Final if they are booked in this quarter final 2nd leg.

The reset rule is to protect players missing the Final. Is it still possible to miss the 1st leg of the Semi Final though.
This is a bit confusing as the UEFA site says this....

52.04
Exceptionally, all yellow cards and pending yellow-card suspensions expire on completion of the play-offs. They are not carried forward to the group stage. In addition, all yellow cards expire on completion of the quarter-finals. They are not carried forward to the semi-finals.

It doesn't mention anything about accruing a 3rd yellow in the quarters, results in missing the semi-final first leg

It's just the way it's worded.

It means any yellow cards accrued before completion of the quarter-finals are wiped but suspensions are not.

So if a player gets his 3rd yellow card in the 2nd leg of the quarter-final then he will be suspended for the 1st leg of the semi-final.

Who knows with UEFA! Anyway I don't think KDB will start anyway after his exertions yesterday

Yeah it's not the best wording.

Son was suspended against Ajax 3 seasons ago for a foul on De Bruyne funnily enough:
