I think any combatant fighting for their freedom in a theatre of war shows tremendous resiliance and courage and we should never forget the sacrifices they make. They gave of their today for our tomorrow .. and yes indeed Slava Ukraine!
Yesterday we travelled to Fairhaven Park to attend the commemoration of a Middleton lad Sergeant Alan Lever-Ridings who was KIA returning from a bomber support mission exactly 80 years to the day. The service and commemoration was followed buy a flypast from a Hurricane at the very time his aircraft was lost.
