Just another day on the New York subway.

We spent a week in Brooklyn in 2019 and the weirdness on the New York subway system was the highlight (OK, the chicken byriani for $5 on Wall Street was good too). Nostrand in Crown Heights is something else.
I lived there in 1981 and got the subway every day. Back then New York was a brutal place but never boring. It was my time in the wilderness. But it is a city that leaves a mark on you.

I agree with this. We used the subway all the time whilst in New York and it was entertaining and eye opening.
