Went to get a few things from Asda the other day, including some apples. Polish apples, German apples, Dutch apples, fuckin' French apples, Italian apples, and not a pack of English apples. i got 'em from the Co-op in the end and got some labelled 'Suffolk'. Probably find it's Suffolk, Bavaria!

2/ Those "Suffolk" apples may have only been bagged in Suffolk - they could be grown and harvested anywhere in the world but our Brexit freedom benefit means I can label a Lancashire oven bottom muffin baked in France with the label "Lancashire" as long as I bag them in Preston.

Very dispiriting read about those apple farmers. I shall email the Co-op and ask if their Suffolk apples are really from Suffolk trees.
