Baleba

Baleba was not for sale. Brighton did not give a price, the £100m was just so called fans ITK. Brighton never give a price for any players you just bid until Tony Bloom says ok let's talk. I think the only way the rags would have got the deal done is by them offering £120m with a big up front payment.

Teams like Brighton won’t want to do any deal with us if there is another option for a player to go to! Like Villa when we were trying to buy Grealish we put up the 100m and they were still trying to sell him to another club asking around!

Personally I’d rather have Wharton
I would say Ur wrong, much rather do a deal with you LFC, AFC, CFC Because we can't compete with you, all the rest are seen as challenging us,so hardly going to strengthen them.

Am I missing something with this lad. His name is still popping up all over but his stats are mediocre and I thought he was nothing impressive against us last week.

He looks very athletic and some managed to convince themselves that our main problem is lack of athleticism. For them football is 80% running, and as fast as possible. Weird.

Some people just think anyone who plays for Brighton must be great. I cannot understand why, if they keep producing all these super-duper players, they don't win anything and continually finish mid-table.

Regardless of Baleba’s merits or otherwise, our glaring lack of pace and athleticism throughout the set up has been a huge factor in our demise over the last 12 months. We’e long had problems with transitions and that’s gotten worse as other teams are increasingly playing more direct on the counter. A bit weird to ignore that indisputable fact tbf
It’s not an either/or. A properly balanced squad would cover all options

The glaring lack was Rodri who many treated as Plodri due his glaring (according to them) lack of pace.

We won the Treble with Rodri, Gundo and Bernardo. Pace is overrated.

Plus, the current team has more pace than the Treble one: Nunes is faster than Akanji (who played RB back then), Gvardiol is quicker than Dias, Khusanov is quicker than Stones, Reijnders is quicker than both Gundo and Bernardo, Savinho and Doku are quicker than Grealish, and so on. Get the facts right mate.
