Repost whatever you want but elaborate. We still don't have a proper right back either despite the fact we suffered last season because of it.
Elaborate?

We have the best board in world football, the envy of everyone. Our rebuild looks superb already. We don’t buy substandard players to fill holes, we use what we have. t’s one of the key components of our success. It means we don’t end up with a bloated squad. We didn’t have a recognised left back for the treble, the formidable and the record breakers. We have several players who can play at right back (Khusanov, Akashi, stones, Nunez, Lewis). I’m well happy with the keeper we have, and the one who “embarrasses”‘you is reported to be poor with his feet.

I’ve been seeing melodramatic posts like yours for years on here mate. Football is the biggest magnifying glass for Dunning Kruger theory in the world. Our board and manager know what they are doing and have a track record to prove it.

“Embarrassing” my arse. You should be embarrassed at your own lack of awareness, nothing else.

His signing will probably be worth four places in the table - 11th place if my calculations are correct.
That will make them more of a rival to us in terms of final positions. Your easily make top 4 at worst.

Not after the turn of the year we didn't.

Our biggest problem last season was we had no midfield!

I know people are amazed at our 100 point, 98 point, treble seasons but 71 points and 3rd in the league with that midfield might be the greatest achievement.

I mean I still can't get my head around it and the only answer seems to be Pep found a way with Nunes acting like mini KDB from right back which seems absolutely comical and something you would laugh at but Pep did it!
I wish I had your optimism. Midfield was definitely one of our weaknesses but I've noticed few more last season: having wingers who can't finish, no good right back options and a gk who is past his best.

Awesome sighing for Man U if he goes. By far their best keeper in it years and years. Definitely since Sir Alex was manager.

Problem is that even if was their new Van Der Sar, they still haven't got the likes of Giggsy, Scholesy etc..

So I dont think they'll suddenly jump up a few levels because he's in goal. Certainly a big improvement nonetheless.
Give over!! what’s this slur alex & giggsy & schloesy overfamiliar yoonited kind talk? sound like a red with that palava,

Horrible takes that I strongly disagree with. Our current board is definitely not causing any envy among rivals, we unfortunately do buy 'substandard players to fill holes'. None of the players you mentioned are right backs and they will get destroyed when facing the actual right backs like they already did last season vs PSG, Arsenal, Liverpool and Madrid. I bet you laughed at 'melodramatic' posts from a year ago too when we didn't reinforce our squad and guess what happened? Our rebuild is only 50% complete at best and will take us at least another Summer to complete it. Considering our current board is fine with missing out on players that would improve us because of 5-10mil differences it might even take 2 more Summers to fully rebuild. Our Guardiola era is closer to an end than the beginning and I don't want us to spend that time trying to rebuild over the course of 3 years. We seem to be behind Liverpool, PSG and Arsenal power level despite our 'rebuild' because we haven't fully rebuilt. They are being ruthless with their targets, while we are waiting for all the stars to align to maybe go after someone we need. I'm sorry but I don't like this attitude at all. You think PSG would wait to first get rid of their 32yo GK in order to get the GK that's better? They bought their target and now they have all the time in a world to get rid of the one they don't want. Arsenal finalized a deal for a top winger they wanted in less than 24 hours and are still trying to snatch another one who's equally good despite already having good attacking options while we don't know whether or not we should keep ours (who isn't on a level of their best wingers), sell him and if so who should we replace him with for the past 10 days.
Liverpool and Chelsea have splashed more money than us and are still pushing to get few more great players before the end of this transfer window.
We need those players as much as they do (because we're also rebuilding) but are acting like we are broke ffs.
Our new slogan seems to be: 'If we can't get our targets for a bargain, the alternative is.. nothing.'
Last season, Arsenal outpaced us because we went for the pure profit but no reinforcement. If this season Chelsea somehow does it too I think it might be time for us to start asking questions about the direction of our 'rebuild' since in that case it'll be obvious that we're being one step behind, and that's definitely something to worry about.
I am very worried about the next season if things stay the same and should probably take a small break from this forum because here everyone thinks we are fully ready and have negligible flaws. I'll admit you guys have much more optimism than me. Maybe I should find some for myself. It's a hope that kills you, isn't it? :)

He had some good games in the Champions League last season. But this best keeper in the world nonsense I keep seeing on here needs to stop. He'd been poor for PSG for his entire time there until a purple patch at back end of last season.

He's fucking awful with his feet, Pep insta-binned Hart and this lad is that level..Just panic station whenever it goes back to him.

He is VERY error prone

He has cost PSG in the Champions League multiple times.

Their manager, who is similar stylistically to Pep, wants him out ffs.

Kicks up a fuss every few years to get more money/a move.

On more than double what we pay Ederson.

4 clean sheets and a lower save % than "finished" Ederson.

Can people stop fucking banging on about this "awful with his feet"

If he was so fucking bad we wouldn't be signing him would we. Unless of course Pep is deliberately signing him just to fuck over the team each week, why would he do that?
