From the bbc;....

Issa Kabore joined Manchester City in 2020 but has yet to make a senior appearance for the club
The 24-year-old Burkina Faso international spent last season on loan at Benfica in Portugal and then German side Werder Bremen.

Kabore, who operates primarily as a right-back or right wing-back, has previously had loan spells at Marseille and Luton Town, during their 2023-24 campaign in the Premier League.

He is now expected in Wrexham on Monday for a medical.

I genuinely think something happened with him behind the scenes - because he's never even had a sniff during preseason with us.

Was he the only that made a comment about forcing a loan move away from City? Or something to do with his future being away from City years ago?

The only thing I remember about Kabore is when he went to Marseille on loan (they had a buy option), he said the goal was to stay at Marseille because he loves them and not to go back. I'm paraphrasing a bit.

With that said, I doubt anyone at City would hold a grudge based on something like that. He's not a good footballer.

Was never in a million years going to play for us
Our stupidity was in rejecting a very good offer from Brentford after his decent season at Luton, £15-18m
Now he leaves for peanuts with a sell in cluase

This time last season we had Cancelo, Kabore, Couto , Walker , Lewis as right back options and Stones/ Akanji who could fill in.
A few months later we were ljust eft with Stones and Akanji struggling fitness wise and Nunes as our right back.
Obviously issues with Walker and Cancelo led to a parting of the ways but Kabore or Couto could have been useful

I saw Kabore several times for Luton. He really is nowhere near good enough.
I saw him several times too, live at Luton. Reminds me a bit of Frimpong, quite good going forward, got down the wing, fast but seemed to lose his position a lot.
Not sure how he would fare with a better team but the likes of him, Couto , Herrera and Porro have passed through the club without kicking a ball for us.
They are all more specialised defenders than Nunes who is currently our preferred right back.

So are the likes of Mbete, Katongo, Breckin and Wilson-Esbrand going to sit around doing nothing until January? Strange that we couldn’t sort loans for them

Saw that.
I know one of his parents was Hungarian but its still an unusual place for a lad who has spent all his life in England to move to.
Maybe to further his international career

Team is owned by Viktor Orban and had had hundreds of millions pumped into it so he’s probably going to be on a very good salary

Orban was in Dublin last night for the Ireland Hungary match.
There was a protest against him
I read that he has put over 350m in to the Akademie team. Not overly popular with his European political friends.
