47 | Phil Foden - 2025/26

I love that he assisted tonight, I prefer that to him scoring since we know he's a great finisher at his best, but if he wants to play as a 10 he needs to improve his playmaking and it's looking very promising now.

Loving the way he’s been used the last couple
of games and he looks like he loves it too. He’s had more responsibility but also more freedom in decisions and that’s exactly what he needed.

Bloody brilliant. Time to keep it at the next level we all know he can.

People was so quick to write him off. One of the biggest success stories of this football club is that we produced a talent like this. No doubt he’s gonna kick on now rest of the season

I do wonder if the shackles are finally off him now KDB has gone.

He finally has the freedom to live up to being the main man in midfield without having an all time great still at the forefront.

Fantastic.

Haaland, Foden and Doku: best front 3 right now?
Foden is playing 10 though, or at least the most advanced 8, with Bernardo as the world's most defensive right winger.

I wouldn't move Foden away from that position, but I'd be interested to see what Savinho, Cherki or Bobb can do on the right, especially if Khus is behind them as he's solid enough on his own.

Love Bernardo but he brings zero threat in terms of attacking the goal from a wide right position. I'm not moving Foden under any circumstances!

Cherki played his best stuff on the right for Lyon last season.

He's the 1 player you can't take your eye off when city are in possession, little movements between lines.
Very noticeable that after 20 minutes rodri started to play those type of passes to get Phil on the half turn.
Worked his bollocks of as well
Phil looks to be enjoying himself again which is great news for city and bad for the rest of the league.
