Which City game has annoyed you the most?

2021 Champions League final

Not only would it have been our first CL win, with Agüero getting a winners’ medal… but it would have also been a treble as we’d won the PL and EFL Cup.

We finished 19 points ahead of Chelsea in the league and I didn’t even rate their team at all. They were a fairly average football team.

The team selection, pretty much every player completely bottled it, we created next to nothing in 90 minutes, Agüero didn’t get proper minutes when we needed a goal… I fell out with City for a while after that, only actually felt better about it when we came back against Villa on the final day of the following season.

This is the only game ( i think ! ) where i saw the team sheet and thought that's blown it.
I still see the Chelsea goal in my mind and that pass isnt possibly if Rodri or Fernandinho. A gaping big hole in our midfield.

Plenty of games have pissed me of as the game has been played but the Chelsea cl final

The home Derby in 1990 was bloody annoying. City took a 2-0 lead through two White goals. Hughes pulled one back then half time. Hendry scored for us un 79 and we looked set for a win until Reid was subbed for Brightwell and we conceded two to McClair in the last ten minutes. We could have lost it if Coton had not pulled off a good save.
It was gutting as we had beaten them 5-1 the previous year and in the first half it felt like we were on for a similar result.

Can any older blues pinpoint why our descent started from the side that finished 2nd in 76/77 and 4th in 77/78, to 15th the following year and never really recovered until we hit rock bottom in 97/98. I've heard people say it was the return of Malcom Allison combined with Swales and obviously poor signings but there must be more to it. Was it comparable to united nowadays?

This and the CL QF against the spuds, with one of the platelets on Sergio’s toe being offside for us to win it at the death .. After being shafted for must of the game by the officials ..
And the fact llorente scored despite handing the ball which var refused to show the angle on the monitor, even the ref was puzzled asking what am I looking at.i was screaming at the TV show him other angle.grrrr

The return of Allison, bad signings in and out and also the inability to replace Colin Bell. As we got into the 80s Swales's desperation lead to majot financial problems which we didn't really recover from.

I’m yet to see convincing footage of him being offside
They reckoned a slither of his upper back as he was facing away from goal, was offside.

One of the (many) problems being that the cameras used a frame-rate far too slow for the pace of kicking the ball. They used the still from the ball after it’d left Bernardo’s boot, rather than the point he initiated contact with the ball to pass it forward, which was all a big blurry mess.

They got it completely wrong. Not the only decision that game, mind.

Yeah getting flashbacks of that now! I was maybe in the minority but I thought the handball goal, although fucking annoying, was probably the correct interpretation of the rules at that time. The offside stank tho

Really ? I've seen a hell of a lot mate...
Nothing was as bad as Luton at home mate with that kerb crawling twat jumping around the place.on the pitch at end. Was in players lounge after that. Minty vibes could say. Loads of top flight pros with their careers in tatters. My perspective anyway . . .
