Bournemouth (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

I enjoyed the game today. It was good to watch two teams trying to play football. I thought all of the starting 11 were really good today but standouts were Nico, Cherki, Nunes, Foden, O'Reilly and Haaland. I thought the two full back were excellent.

It might not change but it shows a lack of passion for the team. An outstanding game today with the lads playing against 12 men and 95%of the South Stand are scared of missing the rerun of Strictly Come Dancing.
When the fucking Metrolink is not running through to Altrincham and you have to go the long way round (because of away fans) to catch the No.5 match day bus back to Timperley, then you too would leave before the final whistle.

I only missed 2 minutes of added time by the way,

Kudos to Bournemouth they came to play and that made for a great game.

I think the team we put out today is our best team. It has a perfect balance of great defenders and scintillating attackers.

Well played City. Arsenal will be looking over their shoulders from now on!

First half was a great watch both teams trying to play football. Think they have some decent young players. As Pep said in his radio presser our quality in the middle of the park and Erl decided the game. Watching Gonzalez today just makes me question why he didn’t get picked last year. The lads getting better by the game. Cherki has an impudence and makes the game look easy. Nunes is the most improved player in the league I’m staggered by how he managed Semenya today.
Our best performance of the season. Napoli was good but they had ten men. You could see the latest Pep team starting to tick. We will be superb after Christmas.

Great match should’ve been 4-1/5-1 to City at very least… Taylor as always being the shyster of a ref…
Awful after match… taxi driver hit two City fans, one in his 70s with heart condition and his son… helped the 70 year old bloke up… the taxi driver sped off… awful…was on road between ashburys and Mary D’s
That sounds horrendous mate. Hope they’re both ok and someone got the number plate.

People have their own reasons but 5K remaining in a 53,000 ground is poor.

I had a 2 hour journey home btw

I’ve not checked back, so apologies if already posted. Anthony Taylor? What a **@*!! I have never witnessed a referee blow for half time and full time when the same side is due to take a corner. Says everything about that prick really.
Clive Thomas says hi. Blew when the ball was in the air from a corner and Brazil, scored

Not sure he got it wrong, we were just very good and have better players.

Really impressed by how they sold 3 of their starting defenders in the summer, replaced them for less, and are now better for it. Impressed by their approach today also - if we hadn't been quite so good we'd easily have lost that.
Anytime that tries to play man mark us is practically obliging to tactical suicide. It’s the easiest way to make us feel confident. It was literally the only few games we played well last season, Villa did this and it backfired. You can’t leave Haaland 1v1 and give players like Foden space in the pockets
