Great player - centre-half and very handy when he moved into midfield. Top man. Had the pleasure of spending time with him on holiday in Tenerife a few years ago - kept me constantly entertained with his City stories. He must have been sick of the sight of me by the end of the week, but, it was the BEST holiday I've ever had!!

Pretty sure that was in my Park Drive book of football as a kid.
Shook his hand and wished him Happy Birthday before the match. He said that someone asked him how old he was and he told them to look on their f'in phone. A little star struck today as Tommy, Denis Tueart, Peter Barnes and Gary Owen were all together, all part of my boyhood heroes team, especially Denis after the 76 LC Final.
