Match Thread | Manchester City vs. Liverpool (09/11/25)

I think we've been very good so far. Stuck to our game plan and created some decent chances, while limiting them to very little.

All have played a part but Doku has been excellent, Foden lively and Nunes once again showing what a good RB he is becoming. Shame about Haaland's penalty (needs to start hitting them harder) but he made up for it to some degree with a goal that I'm not sure he knew too much about. Cherki hasn't really got into the game yet though and I wonder if Guardiola might be tempted to bring Reijnders on for him for a bit more control.

Anyway, we played very well and if we can keep this up, we should win this.

Look beaten physically to be fair.
I'd say it should be 3-1 - should have scored our penalty (not a feckin penalty for me, and it's NEVER getting awarded without VAR), and LiVARpool goal should stand as Robertson does NOT interfere
Our game is ruined by VAR most of the time
Was definitely a pen IMHO, the disallowed goal I'd be annoyed if that happened against us but apparently it is within the rules.

Doku's had his best game for us, even doubling up on him hasn't worked. The odd final ball could have been better but him being direct and heading straight for the area and defender is causing them to panic.

Could have been 3 or 4 plus the pen.

Let's not let them back in, there'll be getting a bollocking and will probably made changes.
