Genuinely think most players could have a case made for them (subs aside though they did well) I went for Bernardo just because I think he knitted so much together and his work rate was incredible

Bernardo Silva covered every blade of grass out there today, left one on Van Dijk, took the piss with rondos late in the game, was winding up Van Dijk when he was marking him for one of their free kicks… captains performance!

And he hates those Scouse fuckers more than anyone so he’ll have loved today!

That coffee cup should be in the City museum.

Went for the exciting man but feeling a warmth inside about how Nico if growing into this City side.

Jeremy Doku was just SENSATIONAL today “ I’ve never seen him play so well. He absolutely rinsed the scousers. Wonderful, wonderful performance. Thank you Jeremy, and congratulations on a world class display !!

Only one choice really. At half time I was gasping for drink. There was no one in the queue. Then we thrashed the dippers. The we got out of the car park in world record time. I did wonder at one point whether I’d died and gone to heaven. What a fecking afternoon.

From bottom up: Cherki wasn't on, Gvad had some lapses, Dias was just decent, Haaland despite the goal was okay, Donna pretty standard a few great moments.
Bernie had a quiet game but was all over making tiny things happen, Phil looked good to me, NicoG appears to have really caught on, NicoO pocketed Salah, Nunes another really decent performance and of course Doku takes the MOTM. Unremarkable from subs as they were late on.

We've got improvements to make but all in all I'm very happy with what we are showing after last seasons shock. We've done well to shut up the pundits all too eager to throw dirt on us.

Hoping oer this next two weeks Rodri somehow steps over that injury hump and is able to work back into action as he and NicoG in the middle form a formidable defensive midfield allowing our fullbacks to venture a bit further forward which plays to their strengths.

Happy as fuck to see goals out of others and know if we were a tad sharper we could have hung 6 on the scouse bastards.

Arse have a tougher run of games ahead than they've had and it could well phase the choke prone fucks.

Go City.

He's a tw@, I'll raise you....

Remarkable in such a superb team performance there's still one who was head and shoulders above the rest. A testament to coaching. Doku obviously

That's what I like about Doku ... you never see him arguing with Pep, or giving him the cold shoulder, or kickin' water bottles when he's subsituted ... he just listens and takes it all in, he's got a great attitude ... he's improving so much as a player.
