Tommy Tuchel's England squad | Nov '25 (p17)

This is an unpopular view in the England world - Foden is better than anyone in his generation. We can be reductive and say put the medals on the table, he’ll win

But in terms of positional play, mentality and not only knowing but being material to be winning must be worth something??

Are we seriously saying that Saka(I like him), Gordon, Rashford or Bellingham are better than him? I don’t accept that
Kane will be gone after the WC.

Tommy, or the next manager should be building the next team around a spine of Boulders/Rice/Foden.

The FA would rather sell Bellingham shirts and demand it's built around him over actual success.

They've not learned from Beckham/Rooney etc

Hope Nico gets to make his debut either tomorrow or against Albania. Was hoping he would have got on against Wales last month.

To be fair to Tuchel he should be looking at the world cup as his priority. Though this should include alternatives to Kane should he be injured, suspended or lose form. Whatever the FA want I think by omitting him from the last squad ,having him on the bench for this match and not being exactly complimentary about his character Tuchel is not beholden to the FA over Bellingham.

Some England players with these on at a team meeting

Nike say the shoes work by "engaging the sensory areas of your brain via the thousands of mechanoreceptors underfoot" and players have been wearing them in downtime and at meal times.
"Its large outsole nodes push against your foot as you step, engaging sensory areas of the brain to help you stay present and connect with your surroundings," Nike says of the technology in the footwear.

Better than crocs...

Sky's England reporter Knob Corset unhappy the Bellend isn't starting "a seismic decision", but giddy that Gashfoot is.

Throwing a vague reference that Nico O'Reilly is facing competition with Djed Spence for the left back position, but can't bring himself to announce NOR is starting for his England debut tonight.

I've got to say, so far Tuchel has handled the media exceptionally well. He's picked the squad he feels is right, one that's balanced and I think it's another very good move to pick the rumoured lineup and leave Bellend and Foden on the bench to show those from previous squads that their performances keep them in the side and show the returning players they don't automatically get picked.

It reminds me of the Apple Iphone cock sock.

Overpriced and marketed bullshit to the gullible fashionista

I really think England have a serious chance of winning the World Cup next year. The squad is unbelievably stacked, to the point where even the C-team could make the quarter finals. He's going to have a tough job picking 23 of this lot. And England finally have a manager in Tuchel who knows tournament football well.

Pickford
James, Stones, Guehi, O'Reilly
Rice, Anderson
Saka, Bellingham, Foden
Kane

Henderson
TA-A, Konsa, Maguire, Lewis-Skelly
Gallagher, Wharton
Madueke, Palmer, Eze
Watkins

Trafford
Livramento, Chalobah, Burn, Spence
Henderson, Jones
Bowen, Grealish, Gordon
Rashford

So much talent in all of those teams.
Talent alone doesn't win world cups.
If it did we would of one more than one.

I don't really agree. I think England should have won Euro 2004 (injuries stopped that) and Euro 2020 (Southgate sitting on the 1-0 stopped that). No chance at any World Cups previously, not in my lifetime anyway. This time I think they really do have a chance - they have multiple ways of beating teams, they finally have a midfield partner for Rice which means he won't be exposed as a lone #6, and they have a manager who's won the European Cup in recent times. I'm not saying they will, obviously, but I think England have the very serious potential of reaching the latter stages.

Kane will not be gone after the WC at all.

There's no stand out teams other than Spain. Argentina are a proper team but individually they're nowhere near many of the sides they have had. Brazil play Richarlison up front. France have a great squad but are from unbeatable - England really should have beaten them in the World Cup QF. Germany are a shadow of the team they have been for generations. Netherlands have Memphis and Weghorst up front...

I expect England to be at least 20% better under Tuchel than they were under Southgate.

I think he will call it a day. Or the next coach will do it for him.

Why? He's as fit as he has ever been and recently said he can see himself playing until he's nearing 40. He's currently 32, and is still our best striker by an absolute country mile.

Stat padder for England. Easy to score 7 against Lichtenstein pig farmers every other qualification game.

Goes missing in the proper ones.

Bundesliga is the right pace for him.
