22 | Vitor Reis - 2025/26 (on loan at Girona)

This loan could fcuk the kid up! I know we have a an instant call back we should do it better for him to be with us then with that shower

Liverpool bought Robertson from Hull City after they got relegated

I think there are 2 main factors to determine the success of the loan ( Minutes played & level of football )

Vitor is playing ever week and playing in the Spanish league, which is not that bad.

Thats better than spending 75% of they year on City's bench.

Yeah you probably right best place to iron out his weaknesses and improve

The stats that are impressive imo:

77th percentile for Progressive passes.
99th and 97th percentile for dribblers tackled and challenges lost.
97th percentile for Blocks.
89th percentile for Clearances.
65th percentile for Aerial duels won.

Definitely a strong start, and while Girona are pretty poor in La Liga, he is gaining valuable experience.

I imagine that we are very happy with Vitor Reis' progress. He plays constantly, and plays well.
I notice that he is very alert to danger, as well as being very able on the ball.
I think he has a real chance to be a proper, footballing centre-half at the highest levels of the game.

I think everyone can see that Dias and Gvardiol will be the main two, for now.
They will be joined, IMO, by Khusanov and Reis.
Ake and Stones will depart, I am sure.
My hope is that Mfuni will come through from the academy.
Reis looks a genuine talent - good on the ground, good anticipation, exceptional in the air, good ability to bring it out, good passing, and decent pace too.

Juma Bah has made 16 appearances for Nice, so far, and 1,303 minutes, so he is playing most games for an average of 81 minutes an appearance - bar a couple of 20 minute cameos, he plays 90 every game. Nice are firmly in mid-table (9th). I haven't seen enough to know if he is ready to join the others, but his highlights look exceptional. I think a loan to the Championship may be his best move.

I think Bah needs another season of loan in the top flight, with a team that plays more possession based football. Reis back to City and Bah to replace him at Girona if they survive relegation could help him.

Has John Stones mark 2 written all over him doesnt he? Same build, likes to play with ball and still only a pup! Another gem me things.

I think Ake is definitely going, in the summer if not January, and Stones will probably go. John wants to stay no doubt, but if they're letting Kev go because of injuries, then I don't think Stones is going to fare much better. Would expect the club to let him expire in the summer.

Which leaves us with Dias, Gvardiol and Khusanov from the squad this season. Therefore Reis coming back plus new signing feels likely, with Reis coming back as 5th choice.

If we rate Reis as highly as we seem to and don't think he needs another loan doubt we bring him back as 5th choice.
