Team news:
Kova and Rodri out.
Pep mentioned “physical and mental” issues with Rodri. I might be reading too much into that but maybe Rodri still doesn’t trust his fitness and is being over cautious?
It sounds judicious to me. He literally said he's making good steps.I've said a similar thing before, but nobody appeared to agree ..... I think both club and player have no trust in this injury recovery situation of his now, caused probably by his breakdowns when both club and player were hoping he was over the worst .... its dragging on, and the longer it does, the more the trust will decrease ..... look at Colin Bell after his lengthy lay off, he was never quite the same player again ..... I really hope he recovers full fitness, but it may well not be this season.
Expect Rodri to be available this weekend?? What planet are you on ??? I'm saying entirely the opposite mate !It sounds judicious to me. He literally said he's making good steps.
Did you really expect Rodri to be available this weekend? I didn't. There's no basis to your conclusions.
To be fair I don't think the Colin Bell comparison is relevant I doubt we have Rodri running up and down the steps at Maine rd 2 weeks after coming out of an operation to build his fitness up , times have change he will have the best monitoring and recovery plan money can buyI've said a similar thing before, but nobody appeared to agree ..... I really hope Rodri recovers full fitness, but it may well not be this season, and we could be left with a player who dreads going into every tackle or challenge in his own mind..

There's no basis or conclusions to be drawn about Rodri just yet .... not from fans, not from the club, or from the player himself, because right now, nobody can be certain how much this injury has cost Rodri.
Beat them handsomely just after their takeover, but since then performances up there have been harder and results have been much closer. Liverpool and Arsenal have both won on Tyneside already, but both times only by the odd goal and only in the 97th and 96th minutes, respectively. Sometimes feels as if Howe’s teams throw everything into the earlier parts of games and then lose concentration late on, so it might be tighter and go to the wire. What a game for a Saturday afternoon. Cannot wait for this.

I’m not sure you have managed to quote something that a different poster posted rather than me.It sounds judicious to me. He literally said he's making good steps.
