Will we win the league this season?

Our whole season depends on whether Rodri can get and then stay fit. Game changer if he can. We can’t control games without him
I agree. We aren't quite there, but I feel that if we got Rodri properly fit, we'd take a step forward. Our job is to hold the distance to Arsenal at inside 8 points, and then come the Spring, when we might expect Rodri to be up to speed, we can raise our game. We may crumble, or we may stay in the hunt, and then push on as Rodri progresses. Pep has been suggesting recently that Rodri is close to a return following a hamstring strain.

The fact that I'm watching Chelsea-Arsenal (20 mins left) and can't decide which result I want suggests that the blind optimism part of me must think there's a chance we'll somehow be in the mix...

Chelsea won't be far off, either. Maybe the draw would be best.

Gap closed

As I’ve been saying all along this Arsenal team don’t have what it takes to handle the pressure.

Champions go and win that game.

Doubt that unfortunately. They've definitely gone about their business with less flapping this season. At the moment I can only see them pulling away gradually while the rest of us struggle with consistency. If they do have a blip they seem to get it sorted and bounce back quckly They've been very goo so far. Perfect in CL conceding 0 goals and only 10 in the PL.
No they are still the same arsenal. The first sign of pressure and they will fold

The really frustrating thing about this season is that if we just sort out our fairly small issues then the league is there for the taking. Drop a fit Rodri into midfield, have the new signings play to the form we signed them in, and just bump up the intensity a bit and we could be top by Christmas.

The thing is...I just don't see really it happening as much as I hope it does.

We need to be no more than we are currently away from them when it comes to February time I think, to even consider it. Anything more and we're top four at best

Arsenal play Villa away next weekend...

I dare say we have the better run of fixtures up to the end of the calendar year. Every chance for us to make up ground between now and then. Palace away is arguably our toughest fixture (and that will be tough).

No.

There is currently no outstanding team in the league and we have a history of winning it.

But so far we lack energy and are too open to win the league.
