City fan suffers broken leg after being attacked at Leeds game

Remember the days before this corperate shite came in and half and half scarves ...........honestly the modern game is fooking nothing but a money making scam ...........anyone having any sort of bother with an away fan in the wrong end of the ground should have the right to sue said club for putting that fan at risk over a bit more money.
Problem is with these wankers is they dont believe they are doing wrong

Where do we go from here then? Seems the club want to peddle their narrative, but it all comes out in the wash eventually.

A fan has indeed suffered a broken leg, despite the club suggesting otherwise.

You better not give your ticket to a mate for free, as the club want their resellers to sell them at a premium, regardless of who they support.

Dread to think what is deemed a serious injury by the club. Like they give a fuck, anyway.

So a broken leg isn’t serious? Fuck off City

Me too, my lad (12) was really looking forward to the Galatasary game and I'm considering sacking it off now.
Was going to take one of ours but no way will I. Its either me on my own or not at all. Not sure I want to put anyone through it - missus, kids, mates.

Going to write to the club about security. Which is the best email address nowadays?

This is exactly what happens when football clubs are owned by (and have Boards made up of) people who haven't got a fucking clue about football or football fans, and live in a bubble, light years away from the real world.

Sheikh Mansour doesn’t give a shit about City, we're just a little cog in the ADUG business empire. Khaldoon is the local mouthpiece - a puppet. None of them are, or will ever be, football people. They're no much more than land grabbing profiteers.

Their attitude of ADUG / the City Group towards genuine  club supporters over recent years has been dreadful, and likely to get worse.
well said. these owners have changed the club and brought unprecedented success but atm is this coming at the cost of legacy fans who helped keep this club going in division 2.

I never thought that would happen.
I've had a season ticket for 38 years.
Im 48
Been everywhere watching city.
I don't know the answer but we're getting close to breaking point.
It'll go to far and our club will be lost to a load of tourists
and that's a scary thought

The ticket support account on Twitter stated that ‘the incident was not as serious at looked’

It’s been posted on here.

I am Sat in south stand level 2. There was a couple of Leeds fans sat in the 9320 hospitality seats and they celebrated when they scored the second.

In all seriousness what is the answer here?

For those older than me, did away fans in home seats happen before we started selling tickets on third party websites?
I must be sat close to you (119) but didn't see anything so I can't comment

In answer to your last question (and this is nothing to do with last Saturday)

I've been going since 1971 and I remember Palace fans sat amongst us on the last day of 72-73.

It's always been happening, but if we're really honest, we quite like it, when it's the other way round and we can reminisce over little blocks of City fans in the home end at Old Trafford in 85-86 (I was one of them) or 91-92 etc

The general rule of thumb is to keep quiet but sometimes you realise that you're not alone

They dont care buf what they dont get on board that should it go wrong these gloryhuntng khoints will go missing on mass along with the loyal fanbase that these clubs have turned there back on :(
I loved it when us ( Bradford ) got the PL but what came with it put me right off ...........£100 schemes to guarantee an away ticket ..........huge ticket rises when we got there ...........crowds of 18k knowing that 10k of that couldnt care less ............pricks getting tickets for decent away games who probably never went to an away game .............and shock horror when it went tits up back down to 6k again :(

About time the majority of club across the land start looking after the folk who stuck by them when the shit hit the fan rather than making nore more money on a gloryhunting prick who will go missing when it does go wrong

Ive also done it but kept quiet but you know that certain clubs with certain fans will always end up acting like twats sadly

unfortunately it doesn't feel like that gonna happen. football is a business to owners and there interested in making money. why do rich people stay rich because there not interested in giving its all about taking.

Soriano was the Vice-president for economic affairs and interim CEO from 2003-2008 at Barcelona.

As we all know Barcelona are happy to sell home tickets to away fans in most sections of the Camp Nou.

Walk down La Rambla and there are official Barcelona match ticket kiosks, ask in hotels, ask at official ticket retail outlets throughout the city, and any away fan can by a ticket for an inflated price in sections of the Barcelona home ends.

Soriano became City CEO in 2012.

The rest is history, including more and more away fans buying tickets in City home ends over the seasons.

Then this happened in 2022.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has opened an investigation after a large number of Eintracht Frankfurt fans managed to get tickets in the home end for the Europa League quarter-final at the Camp Nou. Laporta said the situation had left him “ashamed of what happened”. Frankfurt won 3-2 on the night and 4-3 on aggregate.

Barcelona have opened an investigation into just how it was possible for 30,000 Eintracht Frankfurt fans to gain access to the Camp Nou for Thursday's Europa League quarter-final tie.

In this video we analyse how 30.000 Frankfurt fans managed to attend FC Barcelona's stadium Camp Nou in a night that went down on the books of the historic European humiliations Barça has faced over the years. A mixture of socios reselling their tickets and mainly several people doing a big business behind the selling of the tickets which had been appointed to Barça fans. Have been the reasons of why Frankfurt fans literally invaded Camp Nou.

A lifelong friend of mine, Villa fan, said to me last year that way back City were a lot of people's favourite second team but now everybody thinks very poorly of us.
My response was along the lines of, what am i supposed to do?
I bleed blue blood (and literally have done on many occasions following our club) i cannot just stop being a supporter or i never understood the meaning of the word supporter in the first place.

I try not to get involved with the ownership side of things and nowadays stick to simply watching the games,
but this is such a saddening thread to read through.

Best wishes to everyone who has shared stories of suffering and let's all hope the blue involved not only gets better swiftly but sues the fucking arse out of the club.
