Liverpool look uncannily like we did at this stage last season.

They have also made the same mistakes we made, namely hanging on to ageing/declining players rather than being ruthless and it is now biting them on the arse.

The Saudis offered £200m for Salah (33) towards the end of last season - Liverpool gave him a new 2 year contract in April 2025

VVD (34) has been on the decline since Pickford did him in, he was bang average last season - Al-Nassr offered £70m, Liverpool gave him a new 2 year contract 6 days after Salah signed.

The Saudis offered £200m for De Bruyne (32) after the CL final in 2023 when he had a torn hamstring. I love him to bits but he was never the same player again and was never 100% fit

Real Madrid offered £100m for Rodri (30) 3 months ago while he was still in recovery from an ACL. It is hard to believe he will get back to his previous level.

Real Madrid offered £125m (!!!!) for the frustrating Raheem Sterling in 2020. Went to Chelsea in 2022 for £47m, in the last 3 and a bit seasons has made 100 appearances and scored 20 goals and has now virtually disappeared.

That is £695m down the pan between us and the scousers.

There is no room for sentiment in football.

The IOPC who were investigating the conduct of the police on the day, released its official final report yesterday. That’s the reason the media are across it again..

It's easy to create an argument when you're making up transfer fees.
 
Is this the first time we've not wanted Salah to go to AFCON?

(Not a popular opinion around here but I still think Wirtz is really good, and eventually they're going to figure out how best to build the team around him).

Your argument is very valid but you ruin it by coming up with exaggerated, made up numbers. None of those offers were ever made.

He doesn't go from one of the most sought after players to dog shit. I don't know what the answer is but I'm sure his form will turn round.

Salah and Van Dijks new contracts in my opinion are why clubs should stick to the opinions on the people they pay millions a year to to make judgements based of the data they create and receive from a player they see day in day out, not 90 mins a week.

They bowed to fan pressure over those two players and it's evident as day their time at the the very highest level is over.

They are to them what De Bruyne and Walker were to us last season.

Mighty Reds set to petition the Premier League over perceived injustice.

Liverpool FC are set to launch a new petition when it was revealed that bitter rivals Arsenal and Manchester City are currently being awarded three points for a win.
Communications Officer Mr Barry Lah stated “ it is inconceivable that the PL are allowing key rivals to stack up so many points whilst we are victims of a plethora of poor on field officiating.
This feels like a gross injustice and a grave issue which is not our fault. Lah “
