The problem is not so much the backline but the ability of the midfield and attack to close spaces ahead of them. Starting eleven need to take their early chances and then we may need Reijnders and Lewis on to stiffen the midfield in the second half.

I definitely don’t want to see Donnarumma punching crosses back into the centre of the pitch. Out to the sides, per favore.

I'm concerned with Pep's bench use, or lack thereof. Why can't RAN get a start versus Sunderland at home? Nico looked dead versus Fulham in the second half. As others have said, Bernardo starting every match these days is just madness. Doku hardly completed a pass to the right team in the last game.

They're riding high but I saw a good bit of the midweek game v Dippers, and it was turgid as fuck. Terrible game and both sides looked just as bad as each other. So I'm obviously hoping for a result today. Just hope someone had a word with our defence.
