Just read some of his interview, I'm paraphrasing but he essentially said he shouldn't have to fight for his place every day as he has already earnt his position in the team. Therein lies the problem, he's only gone and gone full scouse, arrogant, entitled, living off the past, not willing to work, always the victim, never his fault,i could go on.
The moral of the story?
Never go full scouse.

Was obvious Salah was a bit of a diva and it’s shown. His rant reflects poorly on him - been dropped due to poor performances and has come out with a ‘poor me’ interview instead of looking at himself.

Years of good performances don’t guarantee a place in the side and surely he should know that. He’s arguably been poor since the new deal last season and rightly dropped for it.

I had him down as a diva, but not one to give up at the slightest bit of disharmony with a manager. He’s there to get results and if a player isn’t doing well then it’s normal that he brings him out the team for somebody else.

As funny as the Carragher comment is too…it shows a bit of childish petulance. And spitty is right and has proven to be right in that Salah hasn’t done any interviews during the bad form of the side - as a leader in the team - and has now only done one, this one, to moan about his own place.

He’s obviously trying to force the dippers hands between him and Slot. Sticky situation for them really, do they back the manager under pressure or do they back the player they’ve just given a mega bucks deal to? If they do the latter, it sets a dangerous precedent.

Regardless, it’s hilarious to sit back and watch as a rival/neutral.

Contrast this moaning and bitching from the falling pharaoh to Kevin last season.

Not once did KdB run to the media, complaining that he should be in the team. He just got on with it, and played to his best ability, when selected.

Not only was Kevin the greatest player the Premier League has ever seen; he was classy and dignified too.

Delighted..

They shit the bed again and Salah basically confirms hes out

Salah may be pony ATM but his G/A have carried this team for over half a decade

Sure Liverpool are just going to throw money at the problem as they always do

Mixed feelings about this. Much as I delight in watching internal conflict at liverpool, I have a feeling the club are engineering the situation to welch on the ridiculously expensive and damaging contract they awarded him and pick up a fee at the same time. I have a feeling that as soon as this is over, they'll do the same with Van Dyke.

Bit weird reading Salah's post match words, given that he's been one of the main reasons Liverpool even got within putting a glove on us on recent years and sharing the last eight premier league titles (for those outside scouseland or not fearing retribution, read 2 of last 8).

Must be a bit similar to how teams saw kev last year for us? Or maybe worse, like what kev may have been for us in a season or two. Because I'm reading his words and thinking "yeah, but Salah mate you don't deserve to start, you make them a worse team and are trading off past glories".

What I will point out is that Kev, Ilkay, Sergio, Vinny, David Silva, Bernie this summer, Eddie, all City legends and all had the decency, self awareness and good grace to leave with their heads held high and never disrespected the club.

I do agree though. Liverpool have realised the contract was a mistake and is particularly unsustainable given the millions they've spunked coming under the spotlight for not performing from day one. He'll be ousted to Saudi if he doesn't have the fire on his belly to fight, and even then he may still be a yard behind, but too late Liverpool have realised that a right winger and a centre back were more important investments than breaking records for Isak and beating City to wirtz.

Worry for us is we also could do with both in the next 6 or 7 months, so could make our own pursuits harder. I think Liverpool will play it safer though this time around and go for free transfers and release clauses, ie Guehi and Semenyo. Still a gamble and drop in quality from the Salah and Van Dyke of a few years ago.

Hubris .If you are crowned a king you need to behave like one , even when or especially when the, oh so everlasting, Red carpet of adoration is pulled out from under your feet by time or injury. I recommend he watch King Lear .

King Colin . King Kevin. King Pep all say hello

I believe every Liverpool player in the squad has the same contract that guarantees they play every match.
The issue here is they cocked up with Salah as they didn’t realise he is one of the few people living in Liverpool that can read

Agree . Brutal but true . His form has been poor but the negative coverage in recent weeks has been engineered by the club . Bringing two new forwards on mind boggling transfers , neither of who can press a pair of trousers means he can't mop up and score after a counter press , getting rid of his main source of assists to RM , destroying their own midfield in a headless panic , not offering Diaz what he wanted ....I could go on ...

They need him to go to the Middle East ASAP . Their mistake was the new contract, sitting him on a throne and taking on a new signing who demonstrated that throwing your toys out of the oram gets you what you want . Terrible club .

One result here
Salah out
Slot out

Anything else and they are fucked
Even doing that they are fucked
Salah doing exactly what walker did last season and nowhere to be seen when needed. Self absorbed to the max

For me the only real question is will van dijk step up
And to his credit however bad a time he is having he always does that
But it’s on him alone now

Loving the dippers implosion
Come on inter

Best result in my opinion is Slot out, Salah stays.

Liverpool then become post-Baconface united, hopping from one ineffectual manager to another, missing out on CL for a few seasons, while keeping an under-performing player on a huge contract he should never have been given.
