You could be right the media certainly put doubt in my mind.Pep didn't criticize the assist. I think Pep was talking in general.

last one we had is still getting blamed for us not winning the leagueOne word: Maverick!

Love to see things like the Rabona, it's what we fans pay our money for.
But, I understand Pep's comments. For a genuinely 2 footed player it was unnecessary really.
Pep's words served as a bit of reminder to focus on being effective rather than flashy. Pep shipped out Ronaldinho, because his effectiveness no longer outweighed his negatives.
As others have stated, I thought the skill for the Haaland chance was much more impressive
Anyone who criticised this performance is stupid. First game, just getting to know his teammates, tactics etc. Let him grow in his pac///../---.... 2
Ronaldinho left of his own accord, that's what the player said in an interview where he said he had discussed with Pep that he wanted him to stay at Barcelona but Ronaldinho needed to experience something else.Love to see things like the Rabona, it's what we fans pay our money for.

Yes even if players are good enough to get themselves in that position they typically just blast it low and hope for the best, Cherki knew that play wasnt available and just lofted it to Haaland. being as 2 footed as he is is priceless.Me too. much more. The skill was ridiculous, but the vision and technique to find Erling even more so. Goal of the season if Erling buries it (as he should).
A wise once told me never eat yellow snow and if you come across a sleeping Weasel piss in its ear.A lot of people have misunderstood Pep’s comments but if you watch his post match presser, he doesn’t mind the rabona (so long as it works), he wants the ball crossed accurately as possible at the right time; he doesn’t tell the players how to cross the ball.
His players have freedom in the final third to make things happen and be creative. It is out of possession and in the transition to the final third that he has a system that he expects players to use. He also demands hard work from every player.
He points to Messi as an example (a great one) about how keeping things simple can be effective but also clearly loved Messi’s ability to go past multiple players like they weren’t there.
A wise man once said something that always stuck with me: the very best players do the simple things correctly, time after time.
