I was convinced the one against Rúben wasn’t a penalty at the time, and having watched it in that montage, I’m even more convinced now.

It’s a mystery how the VAR officials were taken in by the falling pharaoh.

Or maybe not.

Here's No Salads great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great grandad practicing his diving skillz before the court.

Haven't read the whole thread so forgive me if this has been covered already - there's a beautiful irony in the Saleh situation now.

Liverpool dipped in to get Isak, then he went on strike to force his mega-money move. He gets to Liverpool eventually and it hasn't gone well. Saleh's sitting there on his £400k a week and as his form dips, so Slot drops him. Then ignores him. Now Saleh speaks out and, without him going on strike, the club pile on with Slot to give him the cold shoulder - mirroring Isak now at Newcastle. Saleh becomes the big waste-of-money player who isn't in the squad/isn't playing.

Arguably, Saleh is just being the perfect dipper; regarding himself as a victim.

The best thing is that he's going to leave and both VVD and Konate have to be replaced as well - and possibly Robertson and Alison too at the end of the season. Only Saleh has a bit of resale value so the dippers will have to dig deep again in the next 2 windows just to try to keep up. Can they spend nearly £1B over 12 months, when they might not even have champs league football next season? Will they still attract the cream of the crop? I doubt it.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Liverpool board are elated the Salah situation has played out as it has.

I don't think the board ever wanted to give him £400k a week at 33 years old. They bowed down to fan pressure and now have an opportunity to get him sold to Saudi for a decent fee with his salary off the books.

I think by the end of January, neither Slot or Salah will be there.

It's joyful to see it all unfolding, as it surely will as you so succinctly predict.

I'm settled in to watch :-)

Yes, theyre looking at a pay day if they can. Theyve backed Slott and supported him leaving Salah out of the CL squad. he probably wont play for them again now.

The best is that when we ran away with it, every United fan said the league was poor as proven by us winning every game and scoring so many points ( unlike when they dominated and used to win the league with 75 points).

Now this season the same fans are saying whoever wins this league will be the worst champions in a decade as the everyone is so inconsistent.

They haven’t worked out that by their logic nothing will ever be good enough.
They're both kind of the same.

My hubby knows very little about pl footy ( more non league) but is slightly aware of whats occurring at Dippersville ( I told him Sergio and KDB didn't behave like that when it was obvious time was up). Anyway I digress, said hubby reckons they've got Slippy G ( my description) lined up to take over.

We shall see. I'm loving this shi£te show :-).

I was there and remember it well, I was absolutely devasted at the end of the game because I'd thought we'd blown our chance of promotion, but as news came from Hillsborough it didn't really seem to matter anymore.
Yeah, me & my mates were the Darwen End and the rumour spread that a wall had collapsed at Hillsborough with several injured. I wasn't until we switched the car radio on that we got the full story. We stopped for a pint on the way home and I vividly recall us discussing how unimportant was us getting beaten at Ewood that day.

I hope he's right, wouldn't that be almost as good as Family Man taking over at the swamp? Imagine Slippy standing on the sides watching as his beloved dippers get turned inside out by Phil and Big Erl, and the crowd singing the Slippy G song.
