yeah the early years are definitely the place to search first; teams like Old Etonians, Wanderers etc all have 3 finals on the bounce, Wanderers with 3 wins on the bounce and 5 wins in the first 7 finals (not not 4 finals in row!).

Blackburn teams were represented in 5 finals in a row, 4 for Rovers and 1 for Olympic, but Rovers didn't do 4 finals in a row either. (Blackburn R had picked up 5 FA Cups before City even made the 1st round proper for the first time).

in 'The Rise of the Midlands' of the late 1880s, West Brom had a triple, but by the time football is rolling towards 1900, the competition is increasing a lot. As far as i can see, you have to wait from West Brom in 1886-88 all the way to Arsenal in 1978-80 to get another triple appearance (Even the mighty Newcastle of the early 1900s, with 5 finals in 7 years, somehow didn't get 3 in a row). Then you get Everton in the 80s, Manchester United in the 90s and an increasing tendency for triple appearances from 2000 onwards.

Unless my eyes deceive me, 4 finals in a row has not been done
 
ANYONE Away. M6 closure in Cumbria that weekend. WIll be a pain to travel, especially following same closure the weekend before for Chelsea game.

Not that I'm selfish about these things :-)

A significant section of every club’s fanbase actually genuinely believe that every cup draw, referee,newspaper and commentator are purposefully and wilfully biased against them. Apart from when things work in their favour. Then they just curl their lips and stay quiet until the next time something doesn’t go their way, whilst quietly forgetting the thing that did.

Agree. Would be nice to comfortably rest most of the regular starters.

Nailed on that rags, scousers and arses will get piss easy home ties.
