Several in with a shout. Nico obviously, he had a mistake for their goal but to come back from that, score himself, and look a complete player defensively and offensively, at the bernaneu, is impressive.

Nunes, again an error early on with that challenge on cry baby vini, but thereafter the mard arse never was a big threat. Either his shots were blocked or he didn't get the ball anyway, any he certainly didn't fancy going round the outside against Nunes.

Gonzalez, he's becoming so important to us that I'm very worried get we do without him. Still panics me with his tendency to take an extra touch, but he's become our colossus in the middle of the park.

Donnarumma, some excellent saves. Flapped at a cross or two though.

Doku, to play like that after being evidently targeted for hard challenges, and you see the referee wave most away, shows a hard as steel character beneath the tricks. He terrified them, looked gassed later on and was surprised he stayed on, but what a display.

I can't decide. I think Nico or Nunes, but Doku also stood up to the challenge. We grew immensely as a team last night, make no mistake about it. Doesn't mean we'll beat Palace, but we're closer to where we need to be.

O'Reilly. He was immense.

Dias, Gvardiol, Nico, Cherki and Doku all excellent as well.

Not completely sure why so many are voting for Nunes tbh, yes he did some good things but he was incredibly sloppy on the ball especially first half and he nearly gave away a penalty.

I had top go for Dias as I thought he was immense. Thought Nico gave their winger too much space for their first goal and can`t understand why Pep allows this as he was marking no-one in the centre. He`s not the first as Walker often did this.
The lad still had a great game but Dias for me.His best City game in a long time.

Gonzalez for me. We can’t play without him.
Noticed it at Forest away last season. While it wasn’t an attacking masterclass or owt, we were in control had didn’t look mithered by much Forest did.

Nico went off after about an hour as he was on a booking and had played a lot of football in consecutive games, and we crumbled.

Without him at Villa this season, we looked a different side.

Nico O'Reilly. We have an absolute better on our hands.

Give this team a year, a returning Rodri and one big signing, and we could be epic again.

The first 20 or so minutes were a bit of a horror show and no fucker was getting near motm. But I think their goal sparked us to life. Gonzo was magnificent in the middle, Dias like his old solid self, Gvardiol(after his early brain farts) was outstanding. Doku was fantastic 2nd half and tormented them time n time again. Cherki again, what a player we have here, some of them through balls 2nd half were off the scale. Nunez was again very good and got his composure back well after that trip in first minute. An all round solid team performance on the whole(- the first 20 mins) but I've got to give it to Nico O. The kid was absolutely magnificent! His goal was the cherry on the cake, the kid was everywhere, last minute blocks, excellently timed tackles, fantastic balls out of defence and also being a goal threat. What a meteoric year its been for him, I love the kid! And hes such a lovely humble lad as well.
