Half & Half Scarves Poll

Do you want City to ban Half & Half Scarves

In contrast City are actively selling half-half scarfs placed on a stand alone table not far from the store entrance. A member of staff is taking payments with a chip and pin machine.

Soriano and Co would sell rag scarves there if they thought there was a quid to be made.

Well done West Ham
I thought my appeal to them would carry more weight if, I could quote a poll
After looking at the poll results, I didn’t feel it was strong enough to write to the club. Only 77% were in favor, and over 18% weren’t interested, which doesn’t really show a clear majority of supporters. I was hoping for something closer to 90%.

If anyone else would like to take up the mantle feel free

It’s a bit like a political vote….some people feel like voting but feel nothing will come of it, i.e. the club won’t be moved by the poll. At the top nothing changes.

Why don’t you set a deadline until end of month…every vote counts and keep it bumped to top of the forum showing deadline in thread title. Rather than an immediate ban being asked…discussion with fans about their concerns.

You don’t think 77% shows a clear majority? The fact that only 5% said ‘No’ means that 95% of people didn’t vote ‘No’.

That’s about as good a majority as you could have wanted.

77% ban: 23% no or not bothered so in my view not enough of evidence

Feel free to email Danny.wilson@mancity.com if you think its a clear majority and will carry enough weight for them to consider a ban

Fair enough, you opened up a debate and credit to you.

I doubt this will be the end of it as more clubs may be pressured to join the likes of West Ham and ban half/half scarves especially in home ends. In the old days if people wanted a memento of a match they bought a programme or took a photo at the match. Now everyone has a phone take a selfie with an oppo supporter outside the ground with stadium in background if you want that sort of thing.

I certainly am not incensed when I see a half half scarf.
What about a City fan wearing no colours, should they be refused entry?
Say a fan inadvertently is wearing a coloured top that is the same as the away team, ban them ?
It really doesn't matter, I would rather have a tooth pulled than own one, but for a tourist spending a grand on a trip to Manchester and a game, and buy a souvenir of the trip, who cares.

As for the West Ham owners, have you been to that stadium, do you think they care about West Ham fans, worst Stadium in the Premier League.
