I'm giving it Walter, with O'Reilly a close second.
Gotta admit I have been his biggest critic, ok top 3 then. He's absolutely turned himself round, particularly playing in an strange position. Gone from strength to strength this season and may even end up a contender for POTY.Nunes.
Can we take a second to tip our virtual caps to Matheus? Think about how far he’s come since the disaster at the end of the Derby last year. Don’t know that any of us saw him becoming this important a player for us. Credit to him for the work and the toughness to battle through a pretty low place.
Same here. What was impressive at Palace was the leadership he showed at both ends of the field. Organising offside traps at the back and driving forward when needed. Nunez has been transformed. Perhaps we should give Sav a break to see if Pep can weave some more magic with him.Gotta admit I have been his biggest critic, ok top 3 then. Don't know how much credit goes to pep for seeing and maintaining the belief he could do it, but congratulations to him for the performances this year.
I was wrong Matheus, sorry.
Showed signs of getting better at full back in last few games of last season.Gotta admit I have been his biggest critic, ok top 3 then. yeah. people forget but the reason we ended up not buying a RB was because nunes was quite consistently good for a while so we decided to roll the dice and see if he can maintain that form, and he absolutely did. goes to show that sometimes the decision makers who get to see the players on the training pitch day in day out know more than us!More like the last few months of last season. Nunes was really good in most of the 2nd half of the season, not just in May.
