Enzo Maresca "high among candidates" to replace Guardiola if he leaves next summer

any rumours of Arteta sacked if he doesnt deliver the title after spending sick amount this summer too? funny how little pressure media puts on him.

I don't think Pep is really close to leaving. Just don't get that vibe. But who knows?

Maresca doesn't interest me. In fact I'd be disappointed.

I want someone who is an innovator as opposed to someone who is just tactically sound and can execute proven ideas.

I don't really have an overly strong desire for anyone yet but it's certainly not Maresca.

Obviously he gets in deep water with his bosses. Therefore create a deflection story the City are after signing him when Pep leaves. Great work by his agent.

Ornstein broke the news of Haaland's mega long-term contract so I think he gets snippets from City too. That's not to say this particular story is true but he's one of the more reliable journos out there and for that reason alone I think it's a bit of a concern that he's reporting that this could be Pep's last season with us.
This was expected
As soon as it's announced Peps restaurant was closing then that's got to mean Peps leaving Manchester Blah,Blah,Blah. BORING

Still recall Ornstein saying on a podcast 'my sources have told him this will be Pep's last season at City' a month later he signed a new contract. That was about 5 year ago.

Think he's got Omar Berrada on his favorite contacts and that's how he was getting City info. But after Omar left it's just trash.

Think the best media sources now are Jack Gaughan and Sam Lee.

All the back pages are running small articles on this. See the BBC Gossip page. However. this just shows how the football media works. If a journalist runs a story, then copy and paste takes over especially if it is a headline that suits a lot of their readers. The truth is irrelevant.

Did they say ‘Maresca’ and every other manager in the entire world?

What a load of fucking bollox, but as Pep is obviously leaving, who is your replacement?

Alonso and Vinny are probably my picks but as I said earlier I don't have anyone concrete that I want.

The sports hacks are mostly cowboys who lift stories from each other. They often use a quote from an unnamed source when that source is just a fellow hack. The usual protocol is to compare notes with each other so they all run the same angle and no one is exposed. That is how the press pack operates. Basically just corruption. The football hacks are not proper journalists. They don’t really have the skillset to investigate stories. They are fed virtually their whole output from agents or press officers. This site is much more accurate when it comes to City news.
