West Ham United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Evening.
Having only had a few hrs kip off nights I thoroughly enjoyed that win today.
Nobody was spectacular but I though all were pretty solid enough today.
2 things for me from today. How important is Gigi to us now. He made 2 spectacular saves in the 2nd half one from point blank range and the other with a very strong wrist. Do not underestimate how important he is to the team but more importantly to how our defensive unit appears more secure. I loved Ederson but I never got that feeling like I do with Gigi that he was going to save pretty much everything that is fired at him.
Didn't like how we started the 2nd half and it reminded me of similarities to the Leeds game. We have to be better there. West Ham nick a goal there and again it is a really different game. Pep was storming around the touch line for a good 10 minutes and after hearing his post match interview I understand why now.
West Ham were ok. I am sure they will stay up. Open your eyes if you think Bowen is not a top player because he is. Not saying I want him in our squad but he literally makes things happen for West Ham. Top pro he is. Paqueta?? That ship sailed before his spot fixing enquiry.
Everton. Fucking shite as per. Arsenal. They will implode before mid February so bookmark this.

No complaints. 1 observation is Savinhio brings nothing to this team. Wish someone would make a good bid for him. My expectations are ZERO when he comes on. Great build up to Reinders goal.

Thought WH were awful. That said you can only beat what's in front of you.

Thought Josko was excellent, his reading of the game is exceptional. Plus, he’s the best defender coming forwards, and just glides across the pitch. Nunes also had a good game, and Bernardo worked his socks off. The big man doing what he does best and a couple of good saves from Donna.
 
There are a lot of poor sides visiting the Etihad this season and West Ham were one of the worst. They look like they are going down.

Haaland should have had 4 goals. Cherki good on the ball but his defensive work leaves a lot to be desired. He needs to start doing this or he won't play in the big matches.

This sloppy start to second halves is becoming a regular occurance. Sunderland was also similar. Thst could and should’ve have gone 2-1 and then like you say, it becomes a different game.

We need to improve on this.
 
Have a lot of time for the hammers , fan base are sound , have a lot of west ham friends and you can have a decent footy chat

They have awful owners and looks like they will be going down .

Personal opinion but the PL will be worse off without the hammers

Had some great days at upton park too..

They have Fulham, Brighton, Wolves and Forest next 4 games with 3 at home.

If they don’t come out of that with at least 7 points then they are in big trouble.

I must have watched a different game . Paqueta was head and shoulders above every Wet Sham Player, everything went through him and he worked his bollox off. He just doesn’t lose the ball.

More than content. With all the the new players and losing so many legends over the last few years, to be where we are is immense.

Now we get a week off from football as who would even tune in to the Rag WWE show from the PL. PL confirming where their loyalties lie. Stupid cunts.
