Premier League Games | 20/21/22 December '25

Expecting a lacklustre Everton side relying on Grealish to be their chief creator to trouble Arsenal was always a tall ask. This was always a "how's your bottle" feeler. As long as we do not drop points ourselves, staying this distance to them for another 2 months would be absolutely fine. Arsenal will then start to feel the mounting pressure and we hopefully go up a gear or two.

Today sums up what we are up against with PGMOL. 1st the usual officiating in kur game with everything to the opposition, then the usual Dipper officiating with VVD staying on despite the same challenge as the red card for Spurs and the most clear foul for their 2nd goal ignored by Var and the ref and then its only a penalty for Arsenal and the one they should have conceded ignored.

As bad as they were they could’ve got a point cos they should’ve had a pen.
Yeah, probably. Doesn‘t change how dreadful they were though. Couldn‘t even pump a meaningful ball forward in the last 10 mins.
Arsenal weren‘t good, but could have scored a couple more.

But but Pep ruined him and he’s a maverick. No he’s a bang average 30 year old footballer who got lucky that we took the bait and isn’t smart enough to make it at a top team
Yes, Jack has not had a good 2025, really.
He will be nowhere near Tommy Tickle's World Cup squad.
Everton won't offer more than £25 million, if that.
Wonder what would have happened if he had stayed at Aston Villa ?
Don't think Emery would have selected him.
Hope he gets a good move after his Everton loan, but cannot seeing him ever playing for City again...

We are coming into our stride. Arsenal are scraping wins. Had the officials given that penalty tonight, we could possibly be level on points. I won't complain about officials tonight though, you get some of those decisions for you, you get some against you. It happens and we will keep hunting them down.

1 stonewall penalty turned down but we have to balance it and Arsenal hit the post twice so no biggy. Never ever thought Arsenal would not win there this evening. Everton very very poor despite losing a few players to injury and AFCON.
Arsenal will implode by the end of February. We just need to keep winning

Come on, we're not the Scousers with a victim mentality. We’ve won what we’ve won by getting on with the job, not crying about conspiracies. We’ve had decisions go for us - Rodri’s handball against Everton, Doku’s karate kick at Anfield and we’ve had decisions go against us too. That’s football. The reality is simple, some of the refereeing in this league is just shocking, and it affects everyone at some point. You deal with it, move on, and keep winning.
