If anything, he reminds me a little more of Xavi but obviously nowhere near at that level yet. He constantly wants on the ball and looks to dictate the tempo. The question is who is going to move for him first.I feel like he’s more of an attacking midfielder than a CM like Bernardo is now

If getting both Anderson and Wharton is either too pricey or tricky, could grey be an alternative to one of them? Wharton and grey would bolster our midfield providing both cover at 8 and 6, esp cially with kovqcic and Bernardo on the way out. Grey can also rotate with and back up nunes.
Two of the three takes care of the homegrown concerns with stones and Ake leaving.
I doubt anyone would underate him. He is like the guy who went to Barca a few years back.
