David Walliams allegations

His comedy persona was always basically this kind of predatory closeted pervert, so naturally, a lot of his jokes would lean into this. And that would be fine, if he was only doing it when the cameras were rolling. The problem seems to be that it wasn't really a persona, and that sort of behaviour happened not just as a performance of a character. The reality is that you can say something to Jimmy Carr during a recording that you can't say to the makeup lady before the show. Assuming that the accusations are correct, of course.

To me, it seems quite similar to the John Barrowman accusations a while back.
 
After a real golden age of UK tv comedy in the 80s and 90s, Little Britain hitting the screens was like a slap in the face with a cold, shit-filled nappy. To this day, I can’t fathom how anyone could find it remotely funny, yet it succeeded and paved the way to for the river of shit that has followed the path it trod.
Maybe he’s a wrong ‘un, or maybe he’s not, but he’s got a lot to answer for either way.

He perhaps follows the well-worn path of hiding in plain sight. If he's done wrong, I hope he is tried and convicted. If he's innocent, I hope he can live his life in peace.

I remember lots refusing to accept Jimmy's predilections too.
 
It’s funny (not in the Ha Ha way) that we all grew up in the era of “nudge nudge wink wink” humor, and the innuendo/double entendre was a staple of almost every comedy ever written, yet the minute there’s a whiff of ACTUAL bad behavior (which has been a sliding scale my whole life!) the cancel culture warriors, who have turned being offended into a second career…and in some cases first…come rushing to the fore.

It should be a quick and simply case of:

What did he do?
Is it illegal?
If not, what are we doing?
If so, then get him done and let’s get on with life!

He’s always seemed a bit “off” to me. Seemingly quite effeminate, always dressing up as a female for comedic effect, yet bedding a supermodel for years. As maths nerds might say, there’s an unknown factor missing in this equation!

I hope it gets solved soon.
