FA Cup | Round 3 | Exeter H | Sat 10 Jan 15:00

That's a very worrying prospect.
I am not worried about Gala fans either. It won't be the same as Old Trafford where the Rags are all entitled pricks. The only proper trouble we have had in the CL was with the racist sectarian Celtic fans who sang songs about the murder of Lee Rigby (from a City family) and the Manchester bomb.

Think it's pretty awesome you've shifted a good amount of tickets, would much rather see a full ground

Old Trafford wouldn't have been full in 2005 if it wasn't for Champions League vouchers for the Milan game that were sold with the tickets - we know we aren't a big draw :D
Despite what you will read online from the banter sites City sell 50k+ for pretty much every single game we play.

You will have a great time and will be welcomed by all proper City fans. Make sure you have plenty of beers in the Northern Quarter where all the best pubs are. That's the best area pre and post match.

Looking forward to coming back to Manchester, it's been a while always had a good time there

Last time I passed through was to go to a very wet and miserable Stockport

Because it was one ticket per person

If you've got a son or daughter who aren't yet signed up or grandad who doesn't understand or like The Trust that isn't a member then you were bang out of luck to buy as a group until general

We sold 5,800 at 1pp

General sales allowed 4pp, hence easier for group bookings as well as getting a better view in the middle tier

We're a fan-owned club but that doesn't mean everyone is on board with that as a model and structure and therefore there are a fair number of City fans who aren't part of The Trust and don't get priority for the big games - they will still want to travel. Not being a member doesn't make them less of a fan in my eyes, I know a lot of regulars who aren't.

Should they pay their subs? I'm on the fence about our current model but pay my £ because I want to retain my gold membership (5+ yrs) over anything else

ST holders only count as bronze so only had 1 or 2 days I believe - and again 1pp, so if you wanted to take your mrs you were going to have to wait until general
Fair enough mate, that all makes sense to me. It seems strange to me that they would straight away go from a strict criteria of 1 per member, to a general sale where people can buy up to 4. Surely allowing members to buy extras first would have been smarter, I hope proper fans haven't missed out to day trippers.

However, I'm sure you can understand it from my position. Every season we play lower league teams, who's fans tell us online that they've sold out their allocation and that they'll be taking over the home end next, and it never turns out to be true.

The last ones who were like this were your pals down the A38, and whilst they came in great numbers and great voice, there weren't many if any in the home end.

The city is fantastic for away fans if they know where to go. There is nowhere decent to drink at the stadium, especially with all the building works. But the city-centre these days is fantastic and is only 30 minutes walk. Most places are fine with away fans as long as they cover up their colours and don't take the piss. The pubs immediately near Picaddilly are the worst in the city-centre but there are plenty of other options.

There's 50k ish sold already 18 days before the match, and it will sell out before the years out so it looks like those
" priced-out City fans, lapsed City fans, odd kick- off time" moaning City fans and any other fucking excuse City fans to get tickets."
Have got off their arses and will be supporting the boys.
That’s because me and 10,000 mates have bought a house in Manchester so that we have a Manc postcode to get our tickets sent to, so you don’t know we’re Exeter fans. The few Manchester City fans in the stadium will feel like they’re in the middle of a flash mob when we score and everyone around them starts dancing and singing.

Exeter haven't got 10,00 fans never mind you having 10,000 mates, prick

Every year without fail, we hear the same comment from a club bringing more than their home average games and every year without fail there is no more than a few away fans in the home end, just like every game.

Whilst I enjoy the banter personally, you will catch a few! Enjoy the game and make sure you get the obligatory "WWYWYWS" chant in!

Well if that’s the case then should be close to a sell out. Appreciate that this is coming just after Christmas which is an expensive time but if the club could start selling before Christmas it would make a great prezzie for some of the younger fans.
Bought my lad tickets and a flight. We're coming home!!!

I agree, some questionable decisions around that switch up especially as it's resulted in the most keen fans being given seats right at the back!

Some talk this side that MCFC were only releasing blocks as they sold - perhaps they didn't trust we'd sell the initial allocation but it meant a lot of people were holding off to get a superior view

I myself was going to do that but bottled it when the middle blocks in the top tier became available, hopefully I'll be able to make out Reece Cole pulling the strings. Maestro.

Even from the back of SS Level 3 it's not a bad view tbh, might need an inhaler though!
