Marmoush will not be happy playing back up to Haaland for 10 mins here and there and league cup games. The plan was clearly for him to cover Haaland but also to get game time out wide and as a 10. Pep does not fancy him in either of those positions though and something will have to give. I see Semenyo as a Marmoush replacement.

Trying to think neutrally, Liverpool makes most sense to me. Salah leaves after AFCON or in the summer, Semenyo is his replacement as the goalsoring winger but he’s incredible defensively so that solves their big tactical problem. Plenty of reasons to think he’d win lots of trophies.

Chelsea don’t pay serious wages anymore, United are a basket case.

City…Doku - Haaland - Cherki might well be Peps most fixed lineup since Sterling-Aguero-Sané or Villa-Messi-Pedro. They’re arguably our 3 best players. There’s no obvious space for him to go and start every game like at Liverpool. Then I guess the charges might factor into and Peps uncertain future past July or next season.

Yep. You can play for two different clubs in Europe in the same season these days - even if they’re both in the same competition

I think the only limits are on how many changes a club can make to their squad mid season, which we won’t need to worry about

There's a Liverpool fan in court today for racially abusing this very man. Apparently it was reported Semenyo himself to the police at Anfield and will appear in court next April...interesting if he ends up playing for them. They have the worst fan base full stop that lot.
