I’m on the fence but it’s not my money and doesn’t matter to me if it’s a long term success, short term it might make the difference in a very tight title race.
 
I’m surprised fans don’t read the room when it comes to transfers! It’s a game by the click brigade and no player is ever signed till you see him on your website! I want him because we need depth in our squad someone who has a record of scoring goals and assist plus he is home grown. I already said I didn’t want him to got to the rags because he would improve them..

I’ve always taken the view that Merson is a bit of a bellend when it comes to punditry and anything he says should be laughed off as though it’s a joke. Makes some of his ‘hot takes’ easier to digest.
 
I think it’s pretty likely Marmoush moves on in the summer now. Think he’ll see out the season but a guy with his quality in his prime years can’t and doesn’t deserve to just be playing second fiddle to Haaland, and I don’t see him as a winger. Strange signing. Thought we might see a change of system where he plays off Haaland as a 2nd striker when he signed and was excited to see it, but with Foden back playing well and Cherki in there I don’t see it now.

Semenyo if he does come in is a better option off both sides than Marmoush and that’s without factoring in Doku, Savinho, Bobb if he stays, Foden Cherki wide etc.

I know it’s the complete wrong thread to put the opinion forward but City really should look to sign a more experienced/older goalscorer who’s happy to be benched more often than not to back up Erling rather than an Alverez esque player
 
If we just look at the right wing is he better than Sav and Oscar then the answer is yes as it stands and as much as I would love Oscar to come good he looks a bit of a tormented player at the moment, has Savino got the mindset and minerals I’m hoping but……

Semenyo is premier proven has an eye for goal, the build and power of Adama Traoré but with a much, much better skill set.

Cherki and Foden will play centrally more often than not, Marmoush will also get minutes up front and I think Bobb will go out on loan. There’s more than enough minutes for everyone. The only issue will be the biggest games when everyone wants to start. Having said that we’ve made it work in the past
