Antoine Semenyo | Prefers to join City - Ornstein (p73)

Love the Sky sports news reporting "manchester city emerge as the frontrunner for semenyo" acting like its a horse race and we've stormed to the front from nowhere when everybody else has seen us leading from the start.

If cherki isn't our permanent RW option, what is he because he doesn't displace Foden centrally and that is the only way you can get both into a healthy side.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Pep ultimately wants Cherki and Foden in the middle but currently can't because he doesnt trust our winger options.

Cherki played well holding the width against West Ham, but I dont think that's the end goal.

I could see a 433 with Doku, Semenyo wide, Cherki and Foden in the middle.

And instead of fullbacks overlapping, O Reilly simply inverts (sorta solving the midfield problem simultaneously), while Nunes is an RCB as he has usually been.

Merson having a meltdown about us being the front runners because Pep might only be there until the end of the season. Absolutely shit argument, so might Amorim so might Slot, where's the difference you fucking moron?
You missed the best bit. According to Merson he should join Spurs. Seems to have overlooked Frank's difficulties.

I’m not sold on this one either, I feel like he will be next seasons Savinho.

I know he’s only young but I’d be all over Yan Diamonde instead, he would be the ideal young backup
Get rid of project player for another project player and get mad when new project player is inconsistent like our old one and be extra annoyed because he cost €100m.

Like what ? As I stated you are on the back foot and looking for any sort of "get me out of here its not fair as everyone is giving me grief".
By the way what is "my agenda" ?
Grow a pair, honey,
Ok ‘honey’

Show me the facts you say I quoted….

Show me how you ‘know’ I have not seen him play….

When did I say he is ‘poor/shit/not good enough…..?

Like I said, you just make stuff up.

I could imagine something like this working.

Not too different from the current plan, but Semenyo and Doku on the wings.

Do you see him staying there? I don't really.

I think Pep will get creative at some point once Cherki gets some more minutes and find a way to have both Foden and Cherki in the middle.

Kovacic has been good for us. Nunes is doing well for us, even if not in the position he was originally signed for.

Pogba left the rags on a free, they then signed him for a large fee and then he left again on a free. All in all he managed to help them win the Europa league and a league cup. Grealish came to us for a large fee, helped us to win 3 league titles, an FA cup, Champions League, Super cup and Club World cup. No idea how much we will recoup when we sell. I know which I think was the better deal.
It wasn’t just a large fee they paid to bring Pogback back, it was the world record for a player at the time

I loved this. You could see the bloke was twitching at the thought of the Arsenal being caught by likkle old City, once again.
Even better, he said he should go to Spurs, whose manager isn’t exactly guaranteed to see out January…
And then, best of all, the bloke hosting the evening paper thing they do actually said that Semenyo could be very much like Asprilla at Newcastle and, not only could he destabilise City, but it coild all end like that Keegan era did. They’re actually terrified…

If several clubs meet the release clause, we have an ace up our sleeve
He would choose which club he goes to in that case

Not sure how Ake going to Bournemouth would sweeten the deal for him? It would be better for Bournemouth, but it’s nothing to do with them once his release clause is met

How many managers are guaranteed to be at their current clubs next season? Arteta, maybe Howe? Probably Moyes. Cant think of many more

Manchester City spent vast sums last January because of an injury crisis and look set to add big-money signing Semenyo this time around in very different circumstances.

I don’t get it.
Smells like bullshit to me. All to hike his appeal to another club.
He’s not that good and not what we need. Wouldn’t improve us at all..
Can’t see us being interested if I’m honest.

If you`re going to tell lies you need to have a good memory ... something you clearly aint got.
If you regard him as not good enough then you must not have seen the lad play because at the point of repeating myself again to you, he has been exceptional for his club all season and his stats prove that.Thats one good reason why other clubs are/have been interested in his services. But you seem to think you know better than Pep but I`ll let him be the judge of that.
You also need to read what I stated ref poor/shit or whatever words are on par with him not being good enough. Something which I did indicate on my second response to you but you failed to read correctly if at all.
As I said you`re on the back foot and have been for some time and not with just myself but quite a few other posters.

That isn't a 4-3-3 though, that is essentially a 4-1-4-1 which is way too gung-ho. I know we had something similar in the past and saw success but the game has moved on since. everybody talks about our lack of midfield at the minute and you essentially want to take out a central midfielder and replace them with another attacker. Might be fine against poor opposition as we just run over them but we would get run ragged by every top half side in the league playing like that and that 1 lone central midfielder in that system will end up ruined.

Do you see him staying there? I don't really.

He's neen playing out there and still playing with the freedom to roam, i don't really see that changing. It's not really about the semantics of whether he's a right winger or more of a central player though, it's him being one of 3 players to play behind haaland, foden and doku being the other 2, who comes out to fit somebody else in was more the question is was asking.
