President Trump

2.5 years till 1st USS Trump class ship is launched.

Even taking this simple statement, as anything other than complete hogwash, shows the serious lack of critical thinking or thought of the vast majority of people :-(

A massive ship of an entirely new class, doesn’t go from ‘propoganda renderings’ to ‘launch’ in 2.5 years.

In 2.5 years you might have finished the original design spec and done a PR 1st steel cutting, but it’s very doubtful.

The USS Zumwalt destroyer was a new ship design (vastly smaller to Trump’s), it took 3 years from ordering (ie years after the design process), for it to be launched, and another 3 years for it to be handed over/commissioned into the Navy.

Its just pure smoke and mirrors, echoing the grandiose propaganda schemes of another fascist dictatorship from almost a century ago.

A basic hull can be launched in that timeframe, but many more years would be needed before it sees any military crew using it.

As you say, it’s simply distraction

Yeah, it's rubbish, isn't it? There's no design and he wants to put rail guns on them, despite them having been basically abandoned a few years ago.

It'll surely take several years to build one, even if there is a design (and Trump has again claimed that it'll look great because he's involved). He seemed oddly proud that they'd be made of steel not aluminium too, I thought that recently things had moved towards aluminium plating.

I assume the "4 ships a day" of WW2 days were largely support vessels and not sodding great battleships, but conflation in his tiny mind is hardly a surprise.

The number of battleships produced during ww2 by the US was…3 (or 4, if you include before the US joined).

‘4 ships a war’ is a tad more accurate.

I can see the US producing 4 ships a day (at its zenith) if you include all naval vessels … though the figure is more likely to include merchant ships

thanks, I didn't think they'd built many battleships, didn't realise it was that low.

Straight from the pictures, it was obvious that there was a whole load of fantasy involved. No wonder Rubio said as little as possible.

Just shows how Uncle Sam has done down the shitter. In the first half of the '40s they were building boats 'n ships inside a week!

Liberty ships, the mass produced simple design cargo ships designed to have a five year life, took on average 39 days from keel to launch.
At the peak in 1943 they were launching 3 ships per day. Total was over 2,700 but let's not worry about the ones that literally broke in half and sank.

The vast majority of the WW2 ships were merchantmen to bring us steel, coal and other vital supplies.

The orange imbecile has suggested:

“1) Deport every 3rd world migrant, illegal alien and America hating Visa holder”
Or
2) Surrender your nation the way the UK have, and watch your society collapse in the coming years”

Has our society collapsed without me noticing?

AirPower became the goto naval power- Taranto (uk sinking Italian navy in harbour - the japs were very interested in visiting the aftermath…), Bismark, and then Pearl Harbour, showed that the battleship days were numbered.

With the advance of drone technology, who knows what the main warship type will be in a future ocean war. Aircraft carriers are big expensive targets- you could argue that destroyer sized ship, with sea drones & emals launched air drones, might be the ship of the future.

One thing for sure, it’s not a modern take of a battleship, despite the jizzing over it.

Nuc deterrent sub takes about 12 years to build and a further 2 or 3 before it can enter service.

Mind blowing
closer to 8/9 to build. But still a long time (and doesnt include the additional design years).

I thought carriers would be a longer build, but they are a couple of years less.

Though the 1st Chinese aircraft carrier , was laid down in Soviet Union in 1985, transferred to Ukraine in the Soviet breakup, sold for scrap in 1998, transferred to China in 2002, finally completed in 2011 and commissioned in 2012.... so only the odd 27 years from start to finish!

That’s a rush by British standards.

Apparently 130,000 of her followers got this today. I am guessing 95,000 are bots and the rest will cast her into the “RINO traitor” fire. Also, of course, she decides everyone who doesn’t like him is by definition a liberal.

I think a lot of maga types are wrestling with where their cult is going. The evidence that Trump on a peado is overwhelming. Maga types are already shifting their position. In future it will get increasingly hard to be a Trump supporter as even maga people accept he is what he is. So when do they pivot. They believe they exist on some higher moral ground, supporting Trump is no longer that. They have to pick a path forward. Awkward.

It’s longer than that

It’s completely the same person she voted for.
