I expect it will progress quickly from drone warfare and into pure cyber warfare. I foresee a future where civil wars are orchestrated by tech tyrants, paid for by political tyrants. A more discreet biological and chemical warfare will also arise, disseminated on mass scales. What presently counts as conventional warfare will be obsolete before we know it. But you're certainly right about people.

Still, it's Christmas, so enough of this End Of Days prophesying, and here's to cheese boards and Die Hard.

Though the 1st Chinese aircraft carrier , was laid down in Soviet Union in 1985, transferred to Ukraine in the Soviet breakup, sold for scrap in 1998, transferred to China in 2002, finally completed in 2011 and commissioned in 2012.... so only the odd 27 years from start to finish!

Design 'and' build and then design + build are different issues.
Build times for the astute replacement are looking at 18 months per boat.
All the lead time is in the design stage

No, the hate won’t go away. Yes, they want to burn the world down. But they aren’t going to find another hero like Trump, because anyone who purports to be their champion is going to be just as amoral, craven, stupid and venal as Trump, but without the pre-established brand. And — as we all mentioned prior to term 2 — that person won’t find the support structure to implement what they’d want because only the dullest knives in the drawer will work for them. Exhibit A is Trump’s current cabinet, which is largely a laughable collection of addicts, dumbshits and losers, so far over their heads they might as well be the fucking Edmund Fitzgerald on the bottom of Lake Michigan. And if you think they’re bad, imagine the next-level-down staffer quality.

I’d guess those in the video will disengage from the political process when Trump is gone. “They’re ALL liars”, they’ll say, I’d guess.

Surely his kid, estate agent and other collective of stooges are his lasting legacy to leadership of the republican movement? The established brand and modus operandi will continue until it no longer washes with the voting public.
