Just like to point out that £65M ain't cheap.

When you consider that we paid 50 million for Pilsbury boy from Leeds, 65 million seems like an absolute bargain. Plenty of Premier league experience so should hit the ground running, 25,so still got 5 years at tue top and I think he's one of them players who can improve at City. Think it'll be a fantastic move pal.

Think we also have to factor in sales here aswell. At least one maybe 2 wingers will leave.

FB and CM will need to be addressed but questions marks remain with Rodri and Ait. The former can he comeback? The later is he actually any good.

When you watch city play you can clearly see the huge issue on the wings in a lot of games. We can upgrade that part of the team for a reasonable football fee. What not to like.

Don't nee Rodri and Gonzo, Doku on the left instead of both with Phil & Cherki in the middle.

If the deal goes through we'll see him start soon enough. Then we have 2 scenarios on his first Matchday Thread....

1. Good game - he's better than Sane and it's the best January signing in the last 10 years. Pep's a genius and improves every player he works with. Semenyo, Haaland, Foden and Cherki are a mouthwatering prospect and another Treble is on the cards. Genuine Balloon Door contender.

2. Has a stinker - he'll be called 'Wilfred Semenyo' or 'Antoine Bony'. Pep can't manage players with individuality (references to Sane and Grealish). We'll be lucky to finish top 4 and Savinho is a better option.

It'll be a great Matchday Thread.

I do have a tip to deal with him though. String him along for a while and then when he runs out of ideas (typically identified by him calling you names or other juvenile behaviour) just stop engaging.

Presumably because we can rest any of Cherki, Foden and Doku without lowering the level. Semenyo can play both on the right and on the left. If we want to give a rest to Cherki or Doku, Semenyo starts in their position. If Foden needs a rest, then Cherki replaces him and Semenyo starts on the right.

If Semenyo outperforms one of the players, he starts ahead of him...
