Antoine Semenyo | Prefers to join City - Ornstein (p73)

No wonder the rest of Europe (particularly Spanish sides) just can't compete when every player in the prem now is £50m plus and £65m is not considered a fortune...the money in this game is ridiculous when you consider the majority of the nation are literally struggling to keep their head above water...games gone jeff
Football isn’t real life mate. We all know the wages and fees are excessive. Same with American football/boxing.

Completely out of touch with reality imo.

If Pep starts Khusa, Rodri and Semenyo instead of Nunes, Bernie and Foden/Cherki respectively, the physicality of the team will be off the scales.

Not saying that team would be better than the less physical version, but we can do with more physicality in some games, say, vs Arsenal.

He is probably better than Savinho and Bobb ,whats the problem?
The only offensive regular on the bench against the Hammers was Savihno. We have potentially 3x League Cup games, numerous UCL games(hopefully) and a very intense Jan/Feb,plus a possible FACup run.We need quality cover should we, god forbid get an injury to a key player.Did Arsenal need Eze when they had Gykores,Trossard,Saka,Madauke,Jesus,Martinelli,Havertz ?, thats not including their midfielders.Looks a good player to me and hopefully with Rodders back were ready to have a go!.

I'd have signed a central midfielder first but he's a better winger than Marmoush, Savio and Bobb, he's in the form of his life knows the league and is ready to hit the ground running and adds a few more missiles to the big man city bazooka so don't really see the problem. At worst he'll be a great impact sub.

Nunes is a hell of an athlete wouldn't leave him out of any side with the aim of making it as physical as possible. He's seriously quick.

You are talking about Real Madrid ,other teams hardly spend much money.
Barca 120m for Griezmann, 86m for De Jong and that was 5 years ago. Atletico 75m for Julian Alvarez.

Barca, Real and Atletico all compete in a league where they are all but guaranteed to qualify for Europe every season. Likewise Bayern, Dortmund and PSG. They also have the pick of academy prospects from their relative countries and with Real and Barca are an ideal destination for Spanish speaking players from south and central America.

In the premier league, the weather is shit and any one of 8 teams are after 4 places, City, United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Villa, Newcastle, Spurs so it naturally becomes an arms race. Thats before we start talking about the relative strength of some other clubs like Palace, Bournemouth and Brighton. I would almost be certain that a mid table PL team would finish in the top 4 over a season in La Liga, Bundesliga or Ligue 1.

Don't nee Rodri and Gonzo, Doku on the left instead of both with Phil & Cherki in the middle.
We don’t need Doku in place of Nico G in my opinion, the control Rodri and Nico would give in front of the defence is exactly what we need as games like Leeds and Fulham showed, and they are both capable of progressing the ball for the 4 attacking players in front. I completely see the need for Doku in some games, in parts of games, and in rotation, I just personally think that’s our best and most effective 11. I think Rodri and Nico G together will be incredible, and the control of games magnificent

Hope you're right and we finally get to see them together on the pitch to find out ';-)

Considering it’s the BBC United - Mediacity, it’s a decent read.

Semenyo has created fewer chances per 90 minutes this season than Rayan Cherki or Jeremy Doku, and his dribble success rate is only better than Savinho among the dedicated wing men in the City senior squad.

But his product catches the eye, with a better goal and assist per game rate than Doku, Savinho, Phil Foden and Omar Marmoush – he has scored four goals and assisted two directly following a carry, the joint most of any Premier League player since the beginning of April.

I thought he handled himself very well in the incident at Anfield - clearly doesn’t take no shit. Also clearly ambitious. If it comes off I’ll be really looking forwards to seeing how Pep uses him. Our attack, already pretty deadly will hopefully become even more so.
