Might Jack Grealish play for City again?

The level of disrespect you are willing to readily show towards someone who brought joy to any right thinking City fan is most telling.

It speaks of your sense of entitlement and lack of perspective as to what warrants respect in a City player. It used to be scoring in a Derby. Why isn’t that still worthy of respect?

Fanboy ffs. What’s wrong with being a ‘fanboy’ for a Treble winning City player? Seems like something that warrants legendary status from where I’m stood.

You don’t seem to enjoy being a City fan very much.
I don’t base my feelings on someone purely by what they do on a football pitch (not that grealish ever did much for us) I didn’t like him at Villa as I always viewed him as hugely over hyped and felt his antics away from the pitch where pathetic and immature.

I lost all respect for grealish when he turned up to training hungover, was left out of squads by pep during title run ins as he wasn’t training well, and by his own admission he didn’t do enough at city. I felt his celebrations during the treble where that of someone who has real issues with booze and his career has completely nose dived since.

So no I don’t respect him. In the same way I don’t respect carlos tevez or Micah Richards or even Adam Johnson to be extreme. They all gave me moments of joy but they are all tossers imo for various reasons.

And to your fanboy comment. I use that expression as there are some posters who will not have a bad word said about grealish and will even frame grealish issues as a pep problem. They are fanboys in my eyes.

Can’t argue with the considered way you’ve structured your argument.

But you’ve conspicuously left off Bell, Royle and (inter alia) Yaya from those who’ve seriously slagged off/challenged club this century.

And your threshold is manifestly different to mine. I think they were all heroes. Including Jack.

I dont miss these drinking stories about him. lets hope Everton can show some cash to buy him and let him be their problem. wont be near to 50 m fee though, that is 100% clear. closer to 20m imo than 30m. and we may need to get involved on his salary too as he has 1 more year on mega salary at City.

There is a bad flu going around so if he did go out have a few he could picked it up! But we know his drinking habits pep gave him the fair crack and he did play great in the treble season for the last 6 months

If Everton cough off the 50 million in January we should take it.

I like him as a person. I feel he has imposter syndrome and that he is better suited to improve at a club where the vultures aren't out to get him. He was under a looking glass at City. At Everton he can become one of their cult heroes without the added pressure of scumbag journalists/social media 'influencers' digging him out for nothing.

Realistically they won’t pay that. He is 31 at the start of next season.

Are we now believing The Sun because it suits the narrative?
Far from it for me to stick up for that rag but have you seen the video clip of jack being gingerly helped from a bar/club to an awaiting vehicle? He looked worse for ware. Not a particularly good look for him if he's missed a game through illness.

I wouldn't believe the Sun but I know for a fact that Jack has had major issues with the booze. That's why he was sent out on loan by City. I won't slag him because he was a key part of the treble team. There are so many star footballers who end up struggling with their demons. Jack isn't the first and won't be the last.

My own Super Hero Dunnie Monster had problems and got sorted out. So who is to say Jack won’t?
Not that I would believe anything from The Sun rag. If they said today was Saturday I would have to check on my calendar!
If Jack is as bad as that lot are trying to make out someone at Everton, or even City as he is still our player out on loan, would have carpeted him or fined him or suspended him by now.
Leave the lad alone and let him get himself sorted. JMHO

I like Jack.

Sadly no.

That ship has sailed.

However, he will always be part of the Proper Treble winning team, and that picture will iconic and part of City’s history forever.

Enjoy your career at Everton, Jack.

I think that's a more realistic fee at this point.

Everton fans at the start of the season were all saying "pay the 50 mil now!!!" after his first few games. Their boners have gone down a bit after seeing him for 4 months and most say he wouldn't be worth the 50.

I think £25m would do it. You don't get a lot for £25m when it comes to English players now, so I am sure Everton would pay that for Jack.

I'm sure we would take the £25m as he only has a year left in the summer and has been shown the door. There wont be much of a bidding war for a 31 year old Grealish.

Good deal all round and I expect it to be done for around that price.

Hold out for the £50m and he'll end up running out his contract and going for nothing.
