Refs wouldn't be human if they weren't influenced by the likes of Dyche and the media pile on that "City are getting away with a lot". Beware yellow cards and VAR going against us.
Pigmol have a history of whipping their cards out rapido if the team wears sky blue.

The media upping the pressure on the officials already for this one.
Just don't want the same result as under Mancini when they scored an offside winner and Tyler flashed himself in rejoice

Hmmm sky putting the game on New Year’s Day probably in the hope for another Sunderland win when we lost there 1-0 on guess what New Year’s Day,the appointment of that Aussie cnut ref as well doesn’t bode well for us ..But hopefully we take the game away from the ref and get the 3 points..

If Villa can get a point off the Arse we can win and go top on GD.
Someone tell the overemotional wankers from Woolwich the race doesn't start until the end of Feb.
Hopefully we'll be in full flow at that point and have edged ahead of them enabling us to watch them implode in our wingmirrors. They'll have run out of scabby og's to dig them out of holes by then and we can have a good laugh as their fanbase demand lego head is sacked, the board resign and the entire team is sold amongst the cries of "bumbaclart", "fam", "blud", "bruv" and "my days".

That fucker worries me, when he first arrived from Australia he was a breath of fresh air.

IIRC he came on loan and I was hoping he'd be signed up as part of a bright new dawn.

Then he fell under the spell/influence they all do and allowing that handball at Wembley to go unpunished should have been a sacking along with the assistant VAR but, he wasn't.

Hardly anything was made of the decision even by City which is one of the few things we constantly get wrong (Peps sarky comments in the press are either ignored, go over their heads or they don't care) we should be much much more in their faces.

This will be a tough game Their crowd will be up for it and I have several unhappy memories of us going to the SOL with a good team playing an average Mackems outfit and still getting beat. Any type of win will do for me.
That was my initial thought on the game.

However, after watching the replay of their last game against Leeds, I am much more confident.

Leeds dominated them in the second half and were unlucky not to win. Sunderland have lost some key players to Afcon, and it feels to me like they are very vulnerable at the moment.

We have the best attack in the league, and I simply don't think they will be able to hold us out.

Come on you blue boys!

Really like Sunderland now, but didn’t as 9 year old, allowed to stay up very late to watch the FA Cup replay as-live on Sportsnight in 1973. First time City made me cry- though not the last, obviously

Being in amongst them up there for the 1973 FA Cup relay haunted me for decades !!

Now, a clean sheet victory, no injuries or cards with some rest for some seniors and some minutes for some squadies will do the trick.
