I sadly lost my father Alex channon earlier today
He was 76 and grateful we got to that age with him considering the heart attack and following surgery he suffered at 64
He was involved with club in numerous ways , chairing the swinton branch in its early days , involved with the csa and sending a minibus out to sierra Leone blues 1000031330.jpgChristmas day

Cruel time of the year to lose a family member (is there a good time?). All I can do is pass on my condolences to you and your family (close, and extended). It's not clear if he suffered any ongoing pain in later years. If he did, you can take some small comfort from knowing that any pain or suffering he was going through is now over. And he can sleep easy tonight.

R. I. P Alex.

So sorry for your loss blue.
I lost my dad in February. It's the old cliche but it does get better, remember the good times you had.
You'll be laughing about things one minute and crying the next, grief does funny things to you.
Reach out to people on here if you need to talk or let off steam, we are all strangers to eachother but we are all blues and there are decent folk amongst us.
Stay strong blue.
